I was in elementary school (27 now) and most of the time I'd stay up all night watching Adult Swim, usually falling asleep during Astro Boy. I remember being in the living room, watching our small CRT. This episode of Eureka Seven came on and I was memorized. The way the anime looked with its bleached out and muted colors, the weirdness of the transformation scene, how cute the girl was, not knowing what was even going on since I had never seen the show before. It all combined to make me never, ever forget Eureka Seven.
>>281885628Most people probably don't want to admit where/when they first "got into" anime, but here's my experience.>About 6 years old (24 now)>Canadian>Did not get how TV guides worked, so I missed most of YTV's late night anime>for whatever reason, had seen the first episode of DBZ, Ocean dubbed, on their channel at least twice>Also had gotten a DVD that recapped the Saiyajin and Freeza arcs in a box of Kraft Dinner>had no idea any of this was anime (as well as the basic Pokemon / YGO shit)>eventually around 8 years old or so>browsing the internet on this shitty laptop my parents got me (they wanted me to be "in touch' with tech)>became slowly aware that Dragon Ball Z was a Japanese cartoon, but not calling it 'anime'>see this really badass clip while looking around, coolest thing I've ever seen>it's from an anime called "Hunter x Hunter" (which I did pronounce "Hunter Ecks Hunter")>learn what a torrent is and download it just because of this clip>have to watch it in Japanese>write my retarded 8-9 year old thoughts on the internet and slowly learn what anime is>get in shit from my parents when our ISP sends a letter about the torrent, in addition to us having a download limit which that torrent overshotWebm related is basically the clip I saw.
