Do you know about Kirkbride, the lore guy behind most of Elder Scroll's weird shit? He described the race of Dwemer as a race of atheist elves in a world of Gods. Kirei is a similar contradiction- the logical part of his mind knows that it is "correct" to live righteously. But, unlike other people he feels empty when he does what society deems as "normal"- be it holding church services, taking care of orphans or making love. However, he feels "something" when he does things that are considered "amoral", like murder, or making someone else the fall guy for a murder. He wants to be normal but the only things that stir his feelings are abnormal.I assume he is the type of being Palpatine would produce through mpreg in order to recreate the miracle of Anakin Skywalker's conception- it is successful but comes out wrong.
