The Medusa vs Saber Alter fight was almost completely off-screen in the VN. All we really got was Shirou watching from a distance giving a very brief summary of what was going on. It gave the animators a lot of leeway when adapting it.

Afterall it's not their lines you're seeing half the time but the stuff the 3DVFX guys decided to put on top of everything. The actual animators are diminished by ufotables way of doing things.
