Is this the best yuri anime of all time?I genuinely can’t think of a single yuri series that matches it in terms of raw artistry except MAYBE Utena. Plus, the visuals are absolutely mindblowing even today. How is it still so good after all this time?
How does it compare to the original manga?
>>281899894It’s better in all honesty. Way longer and also gives the side characters more screen time.
>>281898262Oniisama really count as yuri? The only lesbian that stay as a lesbian until the end is Rei and the moral is that lesbianism can only lead to death
>>281900658It's not, but normalfags still insist it is even though it's anti-yuri
>>281900658That was normal until recent times, yuri ended with either tragedy or going straight.
>>281900658It's not. Every character that started being yuri-coded ended up being straight, in the end. Even Mariko. Which makes it even funnier when people say insane shit like "it's the Bible of yuri" because you know they are full of shit and have never watched the show in their lives.> is Rei Who is also in love with his biological sister.
>>281900969Here's another Mariko .webm. She's great btw.
>>281900969>hisHer*
>>281900969I’d still say it’s a highly influential yuri series. Most of the girls are bi, and the girl on girl attraction was a major component of the series even if it wasn’t the PRIMARY focus.
>>281901345The girls aren't bi. It was just a phase
Class S has been dead for decades, let it go
>>281898262Of course it's the best. Look at the director.
>>281898262yeah but ironically it's not really a yuri anime. kinda like utena. it also focuses on other things.
>>281901012>She's great btwIndeed.

>>281901665I think it’s because if you focus strictly on romance and nothing else, then a story can lose steam very quickly. Romance is best served as a side dish and Oniisama e and Utena both understand that and just use their romantic plots as vehicles to explore bigger things.
