Only anime I can think of that the story carries it without cute girls is Death Note and maybe JoJo.But what about everything else that is liked here? Anime is genuinely dead without the author's anima representations.

Just as in reverse, scifi anime is disappearing because modern tech is catching up. Anime girls are not just physically attractive, but most of them want to get married and have children as a personal goal while they are still teenagers. They are also unusually loyal. Anime girls offer something missing in real life.
