I never said it wasn't worth watching if you're curious about it, it's just not particularly special and is essentially like a movie length ultra-violent OVA that appealed to people at the time. Anyone who acts like its going to be some mindblowing thing to watch is just kidding you though, its very much what you'd expect from the genre it's in and is a basically straightforward pulp samurai movie. I'm not even saying that it's 'just violence', but that was a huge part of the appeal that struck people who were not use to it, though after seeing tons of Japanese movies and shows it's just not something that especially stands out in comparison to other things unless that stuff happened to not be particularly accessible to you. If you love it that much then OK, but honestly even something like the Japanese directors cut of the first Pokemon movie is deeper and more emotionally resonant.
