The upcoming "Cat's Eye" remake is confirmed to be only 12 episodes long, with it's first 6 episodes coming out exclusively on Disney Plus this September and the remaining 6 episodes coming out after Christmas for some reason

I can't comment on this one because I haven't watched the original, but do you ever feel like some remakes are made for people who know the property through cultural osmosis, never actually watched the original and will somehow watch the new one?
