Explain to me seriously why this is not possible.
>>
You would instinctively feel it. Even if you don't believe in instinct, you just need to accidentally look down to see his feet
>>
>>281919291
You can't learn 4000 years worth of Chinese kenpo in 30 years.
You'd have to be able to practise 25 hours a day or something.
>>
>>281919291
What if he just stops?
>>
>>281919291
Human reaction speed is about a tenth of a second. It takes your body about that long to notice, process, and react to information. A tenth of a second is pretty much the absolute limit of human reaction speed unless you're subconsciously anticipating what's going to happen in the future.
In other words, the only way to pull off that technique is to be able to see a tenth of a second into the future, or to have such omniscient intuition that you just know what his every move is going to be before he does it.
>>
>>281919291
Almost every animal on earth can feel it if they are being stared at. Let alone stalked barely inches away

You would feel it by the breeze
You would smell it
And you can hear the footsteps that do not match
>>
>>281919344
a car is 4,000 years of engineering, but learning how to build a car can be done in less than 30 years
>>
>>281919523
That's impossible.
>>
You'd have to be drunk off your balls to not notice the air behind you feeling different and the subtle difference in temperature behind you from before
>>
>>281919673
soldiers are chronically sleep deprived which has a similar effect on cognition as being drunk
>>
>>281919703
They are trained to always stay alert, regardless

Also, being chronically sleep-deprived is not true. Its more like they can't sleep a full 6-8 hours. Instead, they go for many naps whenever they can because that's preferable to being an open target.
The sergeant often tries to steal their gun whenever they sleep. If he succeeds, they are punished severely so they would understand how bad it is to sleep heavily for too long
>>
>>281919291
It's not, the guy would need several concussions to not notice, you would literally feel the heat radiating from someone that close to you
>But Baki is supposed to be realistic!
Lol
>>
>>281919291
You'd make noise when you start smelling the guy's farts.
The average man farts 3 times a minute when they believe they're alone.

I think Araki depowered stands too much in the latest part

Those are baby numbers. Post again when you reach the 2 meter range like the rest of us Baki schizos

You would feel his breath on your neck, his body heat faintly all over your body, the rustling of his clothes behind you, his body blocking wind, light and sound from you.

It literally happens. Retsu just stops at the same moment.
The soldier almost meets and greets another guard who doesn't notice anything wrong.
>>
>>281919703
depends on where they are
>>
>>281919291
Short answer: Momentum
Long answer: Moving forward carries momentum, you cannot track the target and adjust your own momentum fast enough when following that close.

Posts like these are why I love those threads.
>>
Baki is the most stupid shit I've ever read, every single character is horrendously ugly. Not a single thing makes sense in the storh. I don't get the hype over this, this is comically ridiculous. What's even the point of this manga and why is it popular.

this shit is why I love baki

Also the post transitioning into diaper fetish territory was wild. Even for a series where characters regularly piss themselves when scared, I couldn't believe that omg
>>
>>281919291
You can just smell him or feel his body heat. If there is wind, his body will block some of it, making you feel that something is wrong. There are probably more ways to tell that I am not thinking of.

what having dull senses and no imagination does to a mf
>>
>>281927324
>>281928389
Bitch, you know what I mean

Your instincts can tell when something is amiss, and most often, you don't even need to catch it in a glimpse

If things got too quiet, chances are, everyone's hiding, and you'd better follow suit.
You can pick up a scent that's not supposed to be there
Or unknowingly notice disturbances that imply something large is in the area.

They even tested it on goats.
The goats, despite never seeing the person, tend to urinate much more frequently than the ones not being observed
>>
>>281928468
So it's not about eyes
>If things got too quiet, chances are, everyone's hiding, and you'd better follow suit.
How does this technique make things quieter?
>You can pick up a scent that's not supposed to be there
Good point, and it sounds like something any Chinese moron would think of and mask
>Or unknowingly notice disturbances that imply something large is in the area.
Good point, and it sounds like something any Chinese moron would think of and mask

Next you'll say hands aren't naturally tough and one would have to grow unnaturally strong callouses on them to punch shit. I really didn't think "no imagination" would apply so much to you

>Senselets itt
You can feel pressure from eyes on your neck,
There's a heaviness in the air when you walk into a room where someone died recently,
The air feels hot and prickly when violence is about to break out,
You feel a pressure in your stomach going somewhere you aren't supposed to be,
It feels uncomfortable to be around dangerous people and nervous to let them out of your sight,
If you're sneaking, you feel a tug on your spine if you're about to be seen,
Anyone whose ever done martial arts feels hot flashes under your skin where you're about to be hit even before the other guy makes a move (even if you can't react fast enough to defend yourself),
And much more.
Anyone who can't relate to all this is flouridated and brainrotted to the point of being less than cattle. Anyone who says "Hurr but he couldn't SEE him though!" goes through life like a horse with a spook hood on. Actually subsapient.

>tfw you can practice these senses to become borderline supernatural

>tfw you can increase the range you detect them with practice and attention
>tfw you can perceive what other things are seeing as though you are seeing it
>tfw you can also improve the clarity of this sight with practice and attention
>tfw you can pre-empt anything that happens before it happens with enough practice
>tfw being literally psychic is merely honing the senses to an uncommon degree
I hope telekinesis is in there somewhere after enough practice.

It's all situational. That power may sound lame until you realize the enemy user activated in on a bird that was about to be killed by a cat, triggering a time loop and trapping the protagonists in the bodies of random cats and birds

It is always funny to see people try and replicate it IRL. Even if it is fake it still takes some practice I think.

>>
>>281919291
It is possible.
The way ordinary humans detect people shadowing them is through the rhythmic sound of footsteps. Each person has their own unique stride.
The way to avoid detection is to walk quietly; don't move your foot up off the ground too fast and don't let it hit the ground too slow. You can glide across the ground this way.
Most people won't feel the need to check behind them if they don't hear anything.

It isn't magic. Psychic phenomenon irl is generally related to things like simulation theory, shared dream consciousness, etc. What you are writing off as magic is just an information exchange that cannot be prevented.

That one is kinda true. Your can subconsciously react to stimuli before your mind can consciously process them.
>>

ironically this might work if you keep a couple of meters behind
