Zexal felt like GX on crack, and I don't mean that in a good way.
The highs were higher, but the lows were also lower, which is saying a lot because Season 1 and 2 of GX exist.

It's been this way since the final season of GX.
Outside of a few notable exceptions nobody dies in these shows.
