You should have probably posted this on /vp/, though that place is sadly terrible, so I understand why you wouldn't want to do so. As for the Pokerap itself, it was a nice marketing idea to help kids remember all of the Pokemon being introduced and to build excitement for the upcoming episodes that might feature them. It was cheesy, but 4Kids' music department didn't sound like garbage when making it, so it's easily far above its later imitations.
