I almost vomited while watching this. Have you ever been made physically sick by anime before?

I dislike action scenes in anime.

I hate this trend of replacing choreography with shaky POV shots to simulate dynamic movement. It's literally the directoral equivalent of jangling keys
>>
>>281934065
One piece cartoony thing
>>
>>281934065
That's really bad, I refuse to believe there are people who actually think footage recorded by a cameraman having a seizure is good or enjoyable.

The saddest part is that this is a shortcut for animators, so you’ll see it whenever there’s a time or budget constraint (always). You don’t need to draw or animate realistic movement when you can import a low res 3D model of an airplane, draw a comparatively tiny amount of frames, and then swing the two around so much that the audience doesn’t notice the lack of animation. There’s never going to be a style shift away from this; this is now the most effective way to save money in animation.

This time the choreography is fine, good even. It's really let down by the poor directing and camera work.
>>
When all you have is a hammer (or here a 3D software) it's easy to hammer the moon but hard to thread needles with it. It demands restraint. Restraint animators didn't need or care for back when the biggest obstacle was either technical or budget related. They just need to learn that simplicity trumps all.

>the choreography is fine, good even
There’s hardly enough movement to call it choreographed.

Who mounted a camera on a yoyo?

good that shit like this flops spectacularly (except One Piece, they can do whatever they want and people will still watch)
