A remake would have to start with Raditz, since modern audiences are too fucking retarded to pay attention to the slow burn adventure series that Dragon Ball started as. Back before the series was about who had the bigger number and could shoot the bigger laser. It was about characters and their interactions with each other and the whimsical world that Toriyama built. It was a battle shonen with crazy superpowered characters, sure, but it also focused on grounded, relatable problems, like Nam entering the Strongest Under the Heavens Tournament to get water for his village, and the antagonistic, violent rivalry between the Crane and Turtle Schools. Characters had to use ingenuity and all their accumulated skill that we actually saw built up over the course of multiple arcs to overcome challenges instead of just screaming until their number got bigger.All anyone cares about today is more hair colors. Because of that, a DB remake would be soulless and pointless, because it would ignore the series' roots.

It's more like how when Broly and Gogeta appeared in Super, the idea is taken from some non-canon media but it doesn't mean said media became canon, Broly and Gogeta's appearances in Super are for all intents and purposes new versions of those characters, it's treated like they had never showed up before and the events that happened to the previous versions still make no sense even if they weren't.If Super Saiyan 4 is meant to show that GT counts and even if we're meant to ignore Super, how does that make sense?
