It's kinda hard to gauge this series properly when people are split on what characters should do what and a big part of the fanbase turning on Chizuru the femMC. Now supposedly (SUPPOSEDLY) Reiji is mad at his readers and made this chapter out of spite but that makes no sense since he's 4-5 issues ahead of schedule.

Now compare their relationship to…..this…..where a man heartbroken pays a woman to go out with him. Again. Again. And again. He saves her from drowning. He makes a movie for her. Time and time again the girl has to be reminded by other people to take him seriously. She doesn’t. She kisses him to cover the both of them from embarrassment but ghosts him for months afterwards. She tells him she needs to “investigate her feelings” aka “see (her feelings) for what they really are”. She continues to date other men. She makes it clear “No. Don’t love me.” And then she ends up leaving him a good bye kiss on the lips that lasts less than a second. All the while you have Reiji’s female self-insert trying to convince the readers that this girl she ships is in love, is the nicest person in the world, and is ready for a relationship. When Chizuru already said no. This is nothing short of garbage. It goes far beyond being unlikable characters. They don’t have to act 100% with rationality but at least try to make sense. This is where Reiji is failing at his storytelling. He thinks constant two page spreads of his favorite girl will somehow make her feelings clear. It won’t. Somehow the lead girl kissing the lead boy over three times solved nothing and is actually making things worse. Fix your trash heroine Reiji or at the very least explain why she is like this. Her rejecting a thousand men explains nothing and without context to her actions really makes her look bad.
