High Card was veeeery early one going to be set in Japan. Now the main reason it ended up in notEngland is due certainly due to the Kingsman influence and the general freedom you get out of making a place up but I wonder if part of going so far from Japan is due to how the story shits on the royal family and reveals them all to be a bunch of frauds. Everything about the Royal Family of Fourland is based on lies made to make them look more important than they were historically. They also are a giant mess of psycho jerks. It is likely they could not have done with with the actual Emperor of Japan. I mean come on, how well do you think that would have gone over? People get mad if the Expo uses imperial colours on a fashion show.
