Issue with Brave Witches cast is that there's like 5 amazing top tier witches, and the rest of the cast is just fucking boring, and I feel like no amount of care or character focus could make them likeable as it seems to be more of a foundational issue with the characters. Contrast that to main 501 witches who are basically all very solid.

Hikari especially is a nice change of pace of MC since she has the much simpler struggle and stakes of simply trying to make up for her shortage of magic power and skill instead of the contrived plots Yoshika is forced through in order to artificially raise the stakes for her. 501 as a group is still more fun to watch but 502 certainly has its moments and IMO are also quite likable.

I'm currently watching the chibi comedy spinoffs and they're pretty funny. Gonna move onto Brave Witches and then Luminous Witches after that. I do hope for another mainline series at some point though. I feel like I'm probably the only one that thinks season 3 was as good if not better than the prior seasons. I especially thing season 3's production values were higher. It seemed they were using less CGI and the art overall seemed crisper. And it still had nudity in it despite me thinking I saw at least people saying that the series lost the fanservice as it went on. But maybe they were mostly talking about Brave Witches and/or Luminous Witches.

What's even crazier is that she voices like 3 characters in Nanoha Strikers and only one of them sounds anything like Senjou/Homura. She even voices one of the main characters there and I didn't realize until I'd finished the series. She is legitimately a godtier VA and definitely deserves that "my voice actress is excellent" joke in Monogatari. Though personally I love Yoshika's VA. And it's great hearing her going a bit crazy in 501st Joint Striker Fighter Wing Take Off! and I presume World Witches too.

(Foreign markets prefer action/drama content and make up half the industry and domestically, compared to 2007, its easy to look at porn now instead of waiting two years for a new series. Also the soft revisionism of the series looks weirder even domestically, in an era of democratised history).SW is really just a series out of time. You might get an anniversary project for the 20th anniversary, I.e. a movie or OVA. But its probably the end of the road for the series.

Bringing this back to OP, I remember people making very legit sounding guesses that Fumikane drawing porn of the characters marked the end of the franchise, because the IP holders wouldn't let him do something like that if there still was commercial interest in Witches, but as he just randomly started doing that with GuP characters too, all that analysis suddenly just became wet air. I'm not claiming that there's some new Witch peak in front of us, but it's good to remember that posts like this prove false at least as many times as they correctly forecast anything.
