Look at Sakamoto Days, Kaiju no 8, or JJK.But then stories that actually would need a relatively high budget to tell the stories they need to, such as BLAME, Baki, Kengan Ashura, or Gamera Rebirth get absolutely nothing.It’s rare to see an anime nowadays that has animation that’s entirely suited for the story it’s trying to tell. It’s either far more complicated than the story needs, or far too unimpressive compared to what it needs to do.Also the picture is a placeholder because I liked it

The point I'm trying to make is that gimmicky one-note manga get the best animation for their adaptations. Shit that sells itself entirely on it's premise rather than any actual quality storytelling.Instead of putting budget into something that actually REFINES it's craft and genre, they just dump buckets into one-note FOTM garbage until the public convinces itself that it's good.This is bad for the industry. Gimmicky shit should be actively degraded and stuff that actually has a complete vision should be given the resources it needs to accomplish said vision.

Rozen Garten Saga would do more with good animation than anything releasing in modern day, but the show has too much sex rape and nudity to ever be broadcast. Same with Mujina into the deep. Everything else I'd want an adaption for has already been announced. Cinderella Gray, Witch Hat Atelier, A monster wants to eat me etc.
