Like I noted yesterday in the Sunday thread, this chapter feels very similar to chapter 70, what with Mao asking for Nanoka's help on an easy exorcism and taking her on a date afterwards. And the cherry blossoms show that roughly a year has passed since then.Also, remind me, did they ever have this kind of explicit confession chapter in Inuyasha, or did they just kind of slowly grow into the romance?

That one was earlier, chapter 78/episode 23, though it didn't involve the alarm clock but rather completely different dialogue from the manga that leads to a fight between Inuyasha and Kagome.

Also, now that I'm looking at it, the scene where Inuyasha chooses Kagome over Kikyo in chapter 77 is interestingly similar to what happened to Yurako in the last chapter.
