Basically, the intent was so clear and, perhaps, manipulative, that even a dumb person could cry from reading it, i.e., it it was super melodramatic.It's not describing his readership, but the work itself.Similarly, Asano said he decided not to draw a face for Punpun so anyone could self insert.You guys should really try picking up a book without pictures on it to improve your reading comprehension.
