Alright St. Paul, but this idea that you need your sins paid for in blood is psychotic and anti-God. It relies on believing that God cares about sacrifices or needs anything offered to him. Paul was wrong about what the Crucifixion meant.
God doesn't care about your blood or sacrifices. He needs nothing at all. Not blood, not energy, not payment for resources tendered.
That isn't the point of the Crucifixion. Jesus didn't descend from Heaven to act out an Aztec tier blood sacrifice. His life and death was a model for us to follow and a lesson of how one must struggle on our own Via Dolorosa to live moral lives.
What God wants is for you to live a moral life and to follow his guidelines for that. And what he wants you to know is that he's aware it is hard and dangerous sometimes. But that you are among divine company on the way.

I have a good reference for this in an actual manga.
The oneshot "A Tale of Absolute and Utter Nonsense" from the 1970s was about a failed uprising against the government where anti-government group got together and started a Japanese Project Mayhem, including a main group committing suicide by cop by trying to storm the Japanese parliament and kill everyone inside.
What got the author in trouble was not the content of the one-shot, but that he ended it with a page depicting the back of the Emperor's head in a pose that came from a famous photograph. Originally, the panel was cut out when the one-shot was first published and only included in a much later re-release. The main reason was allegedly fear someone would have attacked the publisher's office over it.
