Why can't manga be fully colored?
just use your imagination bro
Because it takes additional effort to color and costs more to print. There are full color manga but they don't look better than b&w.
>>282049925Ink expensive.
Mangaka are already dying getting 15 pages out per week
>>282049925These lazy mangaka refuse to work for more than 15 hours a day.
Japan is still clinging to physical media when digital comics are the future
>>282050238That's not true. The manga market is largely digital these days.
>>282049925Colored manga is for colored people.
>>282050478>first digital in 2014I don't think that graph is about how they draw the comics, but how they're published.
>>282050624It's how they're sold. Most artists have incorporated digital tools into their workflow, full analog is a rarity these days.
>>282049925Please understand
>>282049925Yet another reason why koreans are superior.
>>282049925It doesn't look good
>>282049925It could. Obviously you'd need someone to do it (like what they do for Shadows House) and if you also wanted it printed you'd need to have a publishing setup for it and a market that's going to buy a more expensive manga.
>>282049925Colorize it with AI
Once again anime secondaries prove they should not even be allowed to read, not that they can anyway
>>282049925Full color always looks worse than monochrome.
The margins for most manga are too low for official colouring of the original release to be profitable. In my country, even the big comic artists sometimes pay eastern Europeans to colour their comics for cheap.
There’s no official colored version that looks better than the black and white. Color should just be used for covers
>>282049925you'd either have to have the mangaka do it which means they'd miss their deadlines even more frequently than they already do + most mangaka are bad colorists anyway, or you'd have to have a western style assembly line kind of production where you have a separate colorist, and that's opening a whole can of worms where mangaka would have to totally change their work flow and they'd no longer be getting sole credit for their work. if you did that there's a real chance it wouldn't be long before every manga had a separate author, penciler, inker, colorist and typist + assistants.
