Konan is taking the wrestling terms to a new level, she is literally born bred and raised to JOB in the most literal sense. She was never intended to win her fight so the contrivance of her losing or it being a move she was charging up for her entire life somehow doesn't feel out of place here. It's a rare decent fight in an arc without a lot of decent fights. Compare this to my wife Samui who was introduced and immediately became so popular she threatened to upend the main characters who were well hated by the fanbase at that point and had to be summarily executed by the author in the most contrived fight of the arc.Will always understand Konan lovers, she's a fantastic character.
