It’s so stupid they axed this and it’s getting an Anime 15 years later. They should have let it keep running and given it an anime at the time, the popularity boost could easily have taken it off to be a major shonen franchise for them.

It got axed because it's a slop. They're giving it an anime because even slop from 15 years ago is better then what is currently running.
