Yes, Oda has really ramped up the world building with the world government, gorosei, imu, exploitation, slavery, all that jazz, and its cool... but the BEST part about it, is that it is layered on top of a "simple" story of action and adventure and the dreams of one young boy. Turning everything into "oh well actually he is related to..." and "oh well his fruit is ACTUALLY", in my opinion, actually UNDERMINES the foundations of the story that we've built up to this point
