Do you also find that you can only enjoy anime when you're drunk (and possibly high)?
Without that, overthinking gets in the way of enjoying the movie.

I enjoy anime a lot when drunk but being drunk has downsides so I try not to do it more than a few times a year.

Drunk anime is great especially when you are young and your tolerance is low. But so is sober anime and at some its not worth the health risk. Live streams are the exception. GENOCIDE and GENOCIDE, Ai yo, the entirety of sora no woto were all pretty fun moments to experience drunk with anons.
