Why is Oshi no Ko the only major work that criticizes isekai genre? I'm imagining an example where some ugly guy like Rudeus is isekai'd, then he marries someone whose features complement his own, say her good eyeshape balances out his bad one, his prominent cheekbones balance out her bad ones, etc, so they can produce a beautiful child. Then, once the child is born, he kills his wife and forces his own memories onto the child, tricking the child into believing they were the one originally isekai’d. The narrative would follow the child’s struggle to uncover this truth. There needs to be more attention brought to how selfish and shallow the genre is.
We had a work that critcized isekai but it instantly got brutally murdered and cut down by the industry because isekai authors are thinskinned and can't handle ant kind of criticism along with their fans.

It's because of this that people wrongly concluded that it's about Rudeus from MT, but the name didn't fit and MT didn't have an anime yet and Cheat Slayer was otherwise only targeting stuff with anime that already aired. So with that in mind, no one among the supposedly parodied isekai MCs was even a "loser hikki NEET" as far as I can recall. Subaru was maybe in danger of becoming one soon but wasn't yet pre-isekai and instead of taking Kazuma who actually was one, he picked a color-palette swap of Aqua to represent Konosuba instead.
