i just started watching it (up to episode 11) and im really enjoying it. do the following seasons hold up? its not so common for animes to get 4+ seasons so im curious.

Yes it keeps getting better until season 5 where it kind of loses steam but still has its spotlights, but then the final movie is the best ending ever made in the anime and manga industry so you better keep going anyways.

I will never forgive ret/a/rds for pushing reddit narratives here. Remember when shit like S;G was THE 4chan anime? then it became "reddit"? Dr. Stone was like that before it got picked up by the masses. It's a shame the series doesn't get that much attention considering how big the current arc is

when I first started coming to 4chan reddit wasn't a thing yet and the default response to steins;gate praise was to call it casualshit and inferior to chaos;head and umineko. and only discussion about the VN's happened, the threads gatekept animeonlies super hard

I dropped during stone wars but just binged the rest at 1.3x recently and it was really enjoyable at that pace in chunks. not much depth or development but the newer characters are fun and unique and it doesn't get sidetracked in goofy antics or sidequests. it keeps up the pace with constant inventions and a few big projects and conflict set-pieces.
