Does Josuke have any redeeming qualities? He seems like pretty easily the worst jojo.

But Giorno and Josuke fail because they don't have much aura, they don't work as jokes, and they don't have personality. Josuke and Giorno have a bunch of ill-defined characteristics and are inconsequential to the plot of their stories. Even without the jokey part, Jonathan is fundamental to the PB plot. Josuke and Giorno could have been killed early on and it wouldn't have made any difference. “Muh deus ex bullshit powers” makes no difference. Diavolo had his ass saved by Araki like every other time.
