Mappa released a new Chainsaw Man Season 1 compilations movie to promote the upcoming Reze movie, but it wasn't just compilation. It was directed by the movie director and he pretty much addressed all the issues Japanese fans had with season 1 and the response is extremely positive.Changes that I noticed/read about from Japanese comments:>a lot of lines were rerecorded with much higher voice so now it doesn't sound muffled (at least what the Japanese are saying)>They changed many lines to make to it exactly the same as Manga. Like Denji's line "don't get in my way" changed to "don't get in our way" which was what it was in the Manga.>The tempo of all fights is increased drastically where they pretty much removed all "slow" moments like Denji looking around or standing still. >>282184266Here's the abridged version. Warner Bros kicked director Zack Synder off of justice league half way through production and had Joss Whedon redo/reshoot the film. So the whedon version of justice was came out. Once that flopped and WB needed something stream on their streaming service they rehired Synder to finish his version of the film which had significant changes. The Synder cut was like 4 hours while the original release was around 2 hours. This kind of feels like the reverse where Nakayama(our Synder stand in) got to release his version first then got replace by Yoshihara to re-edit and according to the thread re-record a version of season 1 for a streaming platform and cut down on the run time. Context is a bit different as Yoshihara's job for this instance is to condense 12 episodes into 2 movies and no one had to died in order to replace Nakayama.

They took a similar approach to making a talented animator director with Shota Goshozono for JJK2 and it paid off as it was better than S1 (on a far shittier schedule btw). Nakayama was a risk that blew up in front of them.>why didn’t they just boot the retard earlier MAPPA’s contract with Toho meant they had to get JJK2 out by 2023, which is the same production line as CSM. MAPPA was the sole funder of the CSM anime and the longer it took to release, the more money it took from them. Even when there were multiple members of the team who were frustrated with Nakayama’s directing, starting everything from scratch would’ve took too much money and time, so they needed it out ASAP before JJK2. The result is what you see.
