According to SugoiLITE, the Steel Ball Run anime will be streaming exclusively on Netflix. No information on the release format.https://x.com/SugoiLITE/status/1966075630501638232
I hope it's another batch release.
>According to SugoiLITENot a real source.
>they're going to adapt one of my favourite ever manga>they're going to use cgi to animate the horses in a series about a horse race>they're going to batch release it to destroy any potential discussion
This shit is boring. Where's Koichi?
>>282182514Pulling out hair out of his ass
Hello /a/ I'm an anime-only with my rankings nobody asked for:Top tier: Part 3, Part 4Mid tier: Part 1, Part 2, Part 5Bottom tier: Part 6I actually dropped part 6 after about 6 episodes because it was too retarded even for me.I hope Steel Ball Run is a return to form.
>>282182380If it is, then maybe people will finally start blaming DP/Warner Bros for their mishandling of the series. They aren't forced to make the same "mistake" a second time.
>>282182552You will like SBR
>>282182552Part 6's anime is sloppily made and there is a fair chance that Part 7 will suffer the same fate. Read the manga.
>>282182380I hope you get the gout.
New information soon
>>282182552you should like SBR as long as it isn't a botched adaptation
>>282182400Has this account ever posted fake leaks?
>>282182323>No information on the release format.And it's a flop.
Jojo Fridays
>>282182323>2025 AD>/a/ still doesn't know the difference between a show being produced by netflix and netflix just having exclusive distribution rights
>>282182323please don't dump it all at once
>>282185120Exclusive distribution rights with Netflix means very high chance of a batch release which kills discussion and hype.
>>282185163>very high chance of a batch releaseNetflix has been doing weekly releases for their shows for years now.
>>282185215>Part 6 was batch release >"No information on release format"Sorry man, things seem grim at this point.
>>282185120Everyone knows it's being made by DP, that's not the issue.
>>282182323>exclusively on Netflix. This does not inspire confidence
>>282182323IYA DA IYDA DAYO
It needs to be weekly. Batch releases ruined Stone Ocean and SBR doesn't deserve that treatment.
Its fucking over...
>>282182323
Man jojofags really don't have a break, Netflix is about to destroy araki magnum opus and fans will be coping for eternity, at last David production will be the one animating it.
>>282182323Is there anything shitflix won't ruin?
KEKSBR faggots get what they deserve
>>282185038Gimai Seikatsu for instance. And even "leaks" that turned out real aren't a proper announcements. It's just some shithead on Twitter collecting e-penis at the expense of others.
>>282185556>>282185742>Netflix is about to destroy araki magnum opus>Is there anything shitflix won't ruin?Netflix are just doing their usual thing. The producers (DP and Warner Bros) are the ones who decided to make the same deal with them despite the previous public backlash. (assuming the leak is true and it won't be weekly)
Well uh, this doesn't GUARANTEE batch releases... but it sounds pretty fucking likely. Mishandling SBR's adaptation will go down as one of the greatest crimes in anime
>>282186033I think it's more of Warner fault here, western companies work in a different way than Japanese ones, DP released weekly before the whole Netflix happened
>>282183226but my name isn't phil
>>282185215A bunch of their shit still gets batch dumped.
>>282186108We're talking about Warner Bros 'Japan', and the anime was always produced by them.
>>282185059>Still Flop Run for Slide Show RunBravo DP and WB.
>>282182323>netflixDead on arrival.
You retards do realize Netflix hasn't done seasonal anime batch releases in a while right?
>>282187208they literally did just that in this season with Leviathan
guess it depends on whatever deal Netflix has with WB Japan, it could be just a normal simulcast (Dungeon Meshi, Watakekkon, Hikaru, Ranma, Four Knights of The Apocalypse, Orb), have JP be a week ahead (Blue Box, Sakamoto Days), delay the show until the dub is ready (Kaoru Hana), or just dump it (maybe in batches) (Beastars, Stone Ocean, Melody, Moonrise, Leviathan, perhaps Dorohedoro S2 if that comes out this year).
>>282187208I don't care. I hate netflix.
>>282182323The chances of part 7 being an actual good adaption just plummeted,Enjoy the CG horses I'm sticking with the manga.
>>282182323As much as I dislike SBR glazers, they didn't deserve this. Hope it's handled better than SO at least.
>>282186073We'll soon join Berserkbros in the "famous manga that got a terrible adaptation" gang.
>>282182323the thing I fear and It's mostly guaranteed is the censorship, there's too many things kikeflix will censor and I hope they kill whoever made the decision to partner with them in first place
>>282182323Again? Awaiting Netflix fuckups.
I can't get over Gyro's new beard design. I guess it's for animation purpose, but it just doesn't look right.
>>282191553What was wrong with hte old one why is it so small
I don't understand why people care so much about it being weekly vs all at onceCan somebody explain? If anything I was frustrated with the slow pacing of part 3 and even 4's anime, and I much prefered binging the part 4, 5 (well I used shit scans for 5, so not really), 6, 7, and 8 manga. Jojolion's monthly relases once I caught up made me drop it, even
>>282194214Because the wait time between batches is unbearable and kills hype.
N
>>282194236Part 3 had a wait time between the middle anyways, though, and even with a weekly release schedule, SBR is long enough it might have to do that too?
>>282194343The difference is that getting all of the episodes in one day vs weeks at a time. When you get a batch in one day and people watch it all in let's say a week, the wait time for a next batch release will be increasingly longer than getting a weekly episode release for over a month or two before the break period.
>>282194652Isn't that more a pacing/date timing issue then an inherent issue with the format, though?
>>282182514u don't need to remember
>>282182323ballers
>>282183420>New information>On my birthdayHell Yeah!

>>282198053Thanks anon!
>>282197770mine too. Happy future birthday anon!
>>282197770>>282198471Happy Birthday anons
Genuinely, who the fuck decides this shit? Netflix knows the value of weekly releases, as does David Production. Is it WB? Do they just want it shoveled out as fast as possible because they don't see the value in it? Wouldn't surprise meWhat out of touch suit from either side of the Pacific is doing this shit?
>>282185163That's not even the issue really, production gets absolutely blasted if you can't tweak stuff weekly on TV shows, that's one of the reasons Netflix streaming style TV is so fucking hit or missPeople complain about endless reshoots of movies because shit sucks bur THAT'S how TELEVISION WORKSImagine instead of having 3-6 six months to finish an episode you only get the three first ones to finish a 20 ep batch >>282194214
>>282182482At least we'll always have the manga. >>282182514t. Jotaro
https://x.com/anime_jojo/status/1966336204733034899hahahaha...
>>282200591How big are the chances of first batch before year ends ?
>>282182323it's over
>>282200639Shuumatsu (also Warner) is in December so it's either october/november or next year
SBRfags will know what it's like to get screwed over and then, there will be no excuses.
>>282182323>According to SugoiLITE, the Steel Ball Run anime will be streaming exclusively on Netflix.FUCK.FUUUUUUCK.FUCK.Dude, I recently rewatched the series on Netflix because a friend of mine was getting into it on that platform, and the translation was SO ass. They're going to completely fuck it up.Damn, dude. This fucking sucks.
>>282201216I miss jolyne...>captcha: wrydd
>>282201262Same. She was taken from us too soon.
>>282182514Rohan....
>>282195303Nope, it's an inherent issue. A production can't animate everything at once. Weekly gave that buffer and a more consistent release which drums up additional money making.
>>282195303It still means there's less time for people to appreciate and discuss the episodes. With a batch, there's no episodes TO discuss, just the whole batch, and thus the discussion dries up immediately.
Netflix Japan didn't use the Netflixシリーズ label they use for their exclusives in their SBR trailer description, so there's still a small hope.
2026 premiere confirmed
>>282182657>>282183226>>282182380What's the appeal of watching 1 episode per week? Do the normalnigegr faggots that do that even like anime or just use it as a substitute for socialization?
>>282201750Extreme cope. JoJo anime account already confirmed Netflix.
>>282201770Point provenby this retarded nigger>>282201509
>>282201771b-but no b-batches yet...
I'm just happy SBR got an anime, not gonna let neflix ruin it for me.
>>282182323I don't like Netflix. I don't like Batch releases.
Araki sold out. It's jojover.
>>282201770"What's the point of discussion anime?" Said anon, on the anime board
>>2822017701 episode per week people discuss the whole thingwhole thing dumped at once people discuss the whole thingbatch releases people will only discuss the first batch
>>282182552SBR will be top tier for you as long as they don't fuck it up
>>282201768>>282201787I was hoping for a December release like Stone Ocean. It'll be in January or February with enough luck.
>>282203917 (Me)According to GPT, the usual time gap between teaser trailer and release is 2-4 months, so a January launch is actually probable.
>>282185828>trailer releaseYou lost.
>>282204549For Gimai Seikatsu season 2?
>>282199819Ultimately I think it's just a case of nobody giving a shit
>>282188030>LeviathanThat's an ONA retard. Its not even airing on TV. We're talking about seasonal TV anime and they haven't done those batch releases since Stone Ocean but they are doing this retarded "one week delay" shit that they did with Sakamoto Days and Blue Box which also makes no sense.
