is it me or normalfags aren't into anime as much as they did in the mid 10's?
>>
it's you, now almost everyone pretend to like anime but don't ask them anything besides Ghibli movies (usually only Totoro and Mononoke) and the current popular thing
>>
I fucking wish
>>
Whatever you're huffing, pass it over to me when you're done.
>>
It's the opposite. Normalfags took over and drowned everyone else out

You see 15 isekai and 5+ shounen a season and think normalfags aren't an invasive species destroying our eco system? There's almost 0 risks being taken in the industry and it's voring itself over and over reproducing the same show with a different title
>>
>>282192751
People were saying that 15 years ago
>>
OPs right actually. There aren't many ironic weebs like there used to be. They know which popular shows they're supposed to like now so they won't invade the autism genres.

im ain't huffing, just think about it
no Jojo, no SaO, no SnK no Konosuba or anything that interests them has been released in the past years.

I think what you anons recognize are zoom zooms who speak and behave like normalfags
>>

The opposite really,
Some time ago only nerds and otaku watched those "anime" thingy,
Nowadays they have manga/anime specifically tailored for normies.

>>282192751
To be fair, isekai is only a fad because of how easy they are to make.

>>282192811
Not really, 15 years ago you'd only hear of one/two shonen/battleshonen that was "the big thing".

>>282192842
All I'm hearing is that now that autistic crap is commonplace, we no longer notice them.
>>
>>282192993
What autistic thing is common?
>>
The current normalnigger thing to do is to associate anime with pedophilia, that's not surprising.
>>
>>282193121
They've been doing that for at least twenty years though
>>
>>282192479
Nah, it's more popular than ever
>>
>>282192479
Good. Normies ruin everything
>>
Using google trends analytics and filtering for north america only, searches relating to anime peaked in 2021, but any year in 2020s is higher than any year in 2010s.

When I was slowly getting into more into anime beyond dragon ball, SAO, FT and toonami (around 2016 to 2018) I remember seeing the annoying fbi memes over Dragon Maid and Made in Abyss I found them obnoxious. They've gotten way fucking worse. Videos used have the usual "FBI open up" and slightly older ones had a lot of "shes not real". I don't think they were ever really into anime beyond whatever was on netflix, but they've gotten worse in any discourse.

Solo leveling.
There is still normalfag content.

That unfunny fbi open up meme was just a form of psychological projection. The losers who made them were obviously into the characters they virtues signalled about, and felt bad about it. So they made those memes with the intention that other people would view it, and so by making people look at the fbi part they were symbolically passing on their own guilty feelings onto others.
