Like “guts goes into the Kushan stupa and confronts his inner self” and that’s basically literally what is here and what they say. Worst parts are the writing and the paneling. I can only hope some of this awkwardness is due to the unofficial translation. The paneling is really tough, it’s like one piece. Miura always did these full page breathtaking panels even if it was just guts in complete darkness. Not even just the spreads but the single pages of a shot of someone or a scene. The impact is very much missing without these kind of pages. I can only hope this improves over time.
