>>282198960It really doesn't in the LN since it's all from his perspective, but I was reading the manga adaptation and it focuses a lot more on others' perception of Tanya and how basically everyone sees her as some sort of angel of victory. Plays well with the whole "the empire slowly went insane during the war" and dug itself into its grave, because instead of just Tanya's prescient war doctrine allowing the empire to continue the war instead of just lose early, it also makes it out like Tanya's presence is also solving the morale issues of both the grunts and top brass.The gender doesn't really matter to Tanya shrimself, but to the overall feel of the story (and considering that theme is established right at the start and never changes throughout the entire time it's kinda important)

Yakuza Reincarnation is similar although a lot more combat oriented. But I like that both stories acknowledge that somewhere inside still exists the original soul of the body they possessed.
