Suzuki is pretty smart and definitely would understand that Kira was japanese after pin point Kira's first killings by using his organization esper powers like that dude that can catch evil spirit (talking to people that died by the Death Note) or another esper that would have clairvoyance. It's funny that Suzuki could pull out a Lind L. Tailor moment since he has Hatori in Claw. Now if Light didn't have the Shinigami eyes, I don't think he would guessed Suzuki's name since he is mostly referenced as his postion name rather than his real name for mostly of espers war story arc. Mogami also would wreck Light's shit since he is already dead.
