Do manga translators seriously not even proofread their own translations? Why is "proofreader" a separate role?
A) Because everyone makes mistakes. B) Because the proofreader gets a fresh look at the work without being biased by the original text. It's easier to spot awkward wordings in english when your brain isn't in japanese mode.
