In the VN Misaki is involved in a couple ops, mainly those "let's get home unfucked" operations, which is where most of the development between the main cast happens. Here she's just been treading along and hasn't even done anything major since the Dosukebeland operation like a filler character (ironically anime Misaki might be what the "mob chara" VN Misaki thinks she is) Plus there's no Asane beefing with Misaki. I don't think she hurled an insult on her way even once. They also similarly toned down Nanase and Jun's back and forth, completely skipped the slutshaming and made them kindred spirits early on.Anime!NLNS is severely undercooked man.
