How does one distinguish a flawed character from a badly-written character? Because the line is so easy to blur.On one end, we can have someone in the story do or say something objectionable, such as Koby wanting to stop Luffy, and criticizing them feels organic as this seems to be in-line with the character’s belief. On the other end, we have someone feeling like a huge walking hypocrite that either does the most contradicting things (Garp), or someone just forced to sit in the back while doing nothing (Dragon), either because Oda keeps changing his mind or completely butchered the delivery.
