Just got done watching this. Absolute cinema. It's a shame the next part most likely won't come out till 2027. I don't think we'll see the conclusion of the series till 2029. It took Ufotable 3.5 years to release the first part. I did appreciate the high-quality animation though, so I can understand why the trilogy will take so long to actually finish. Akaza's backstory made me cry, and also Zenitsu's moment with Gramps in the afterlife.
>>282252091yeah, it's fun. idk, why gooks and chinks are seething over this for no reason. they even banned kny in their country as if it was an ecchi/nsfw anime
>>282252091The pacing was absolutely horrible and with the constant flashbacks to fill in holes the author left it really became tiresome by the end. The akaza fight was also extremely over the top. In the manga it takes place in a few rooms but in the movie they're literally flying across the castle, jumping on rooftops and shit.
Demid Slayer: Infinity Flashback1:30 hour of blah blah blah and 10 minutes of fighting
>>282252205>>282252284So, you're mad it wasn't a literal 1:1 of the manga? I don't see an issue with dragging fights out to make them more "action-packed" reflecting that in animation would be different than in the manga obviously. It wasn't going to just be 155 minutes of fucking fighting. I have no idea why you would expect that? I can understand if you didn't read the manga and didn't know what to expect. I thought the Akaza fight was quite long, and it took up a good part of the movie. We got very little of the Doma fight except for the first part of it, and Zenitsu's fight in the manga was incredibly short and it wasn't that much longer in the movie. I personally welcomed the added animation to the fights and the "dragging out" as it made them feel more intense and higher staked. If we had gotten a literal 1:1 of the manga, then the fight would have been what? 20-30 minutes long and it would have been boring to watch. When you translate something from manga to anime; it's going to be different. Reading a battle in a manga is much different from actually seeing it animated. I imagine fucking One Piece fans were blown away seeing Luffy's entire fight against Kaido animated compared to reading it in the manga. You can't compare the two. The majority of people usually enjoy seeing fights animated compared to reading them in the manga. That's really a major point of having them animated in the first place, at least for a series with a lot of fighting/action.
they could have already ended the anime 2 years ago and it would have been considered a classic
>>282252374don't make high effort replies to amerifat NPC social media opinions
>>282252284Sad to see how attention spans with media have gone to complete shit.
>>282252579NTA, but the movie is 155 minutes, so I'm not surprised a lot of people probably watched it thinking "Oh wow this is boring." and "When will this be over." A lot of people just aren't accustomed to watching an almost three-hour movie.
>>282252674I managed to sit through the whole thing without wondering when it would be over. I thought I would at some point.
It had too much exposition but otherwise it was fine. Akaza's flashback was the best part imo.I hope they do Kokushibo justice next movie.
>>282254054Is that where part 2 would end with? Will they really fit the sunrise arc in one movie?
>>282254526There were 65 chapters to go at the point the TV anime ended. This movie was 17 chapters, next is virtually certain to be 22 chapters. Which leaves 26, and I think they'll probably cut the epilogue chapter so 25. I don't see how they can cut the next movie anywhere else. The last will be a little too big to have the same pacing as this one but not big enough to cut into two real pieces.
>>282254879They should have just finished everything with two fucking seasons, but they had to double dip.Could have animated the extra material while at it too.
>>282255018Eh, it takes them the same amount of time to animate X minutes at a certain quality level. The animators are the limiting factor not the format
>>282252091The heavens feel trilogy took 3 years to complete so you can expect just about the same
>>282255018lmao what? This movie trilogy is printing an insane amount of money compared to a tv series. There's absolutely no comparison.
