I see all anime characters that don't basically look like ww2 anti-Jap propaganda as white people. I don't have an issue doing this even with extremely obviously canonically Japanese characters like this, but I imagine lots of people are like me on the first part, and their image of attractive anime drawings actually being whites is getting disrupted, which annoys them.

Tanjiro would be a lot more interesting if we saw him struggle to stay virtuous. To do what is right when doing what's wrong is the easy way out. The only time the show came anywhere close to that was when he had to pick between saving some children and saving Nezuko. And ultimately he was able to save both because Nezuko is immune to the sun :)
