He has a meeting or two with the other characters, but doesn't have the same adventurous summer since he spends it cleaning the shack. This happens very quickly in the VN. At the very very end he gets some flashback on the boat and swims back to shore and confesses to Shiroha. Note it's been years since I played the VN so I might be misremembering a thing or two, but that's abou tit.

So Hairi doesn't clean the shed until the true ending. The ironic thing is that Shiroha's mom disappearance caused EVERYTHING. Everyone's problems magically got fixed because Shiroha didn't develop her power. Also, if she was going to save her husband, why isn't he alive? It means she either failed or she didn't even save him and just cared about Umi.

Once she passes on, her daughter Kyouko decides to organize it, labeling everything with who it belongs to and going around and returning the items to people who still want them. When Hairi finally organizes the shed at the end of the true route, after alka/pockets, he finds the rainbow airplane he made with umi & shiroha. In this context he finds the precious thing that he had stuffed in his pocket all along. Last episode will cover the rest.
