No there won’t be another season. Panty will still not become a couple with Brief. The demon sisters won’t get their hard earned character development. Garterbelt will spend the rest of the season being irrelevant. Stocking will continue to eat like the fat pig she is. And the gay angels will be forever gay.
So in the end nobody could crack the code? It's disappointing, even if most of the episode is pretty straightforward there seems to be some elusive details. I wonder how much the incomprehensible language was meant to add to the exoticism of the fantasy setting (the opening runes made me think of The Northman) and how much it was meant to go along with the poor analog quality to simulate the experience of stumbling into a random old VHS from god knows where.
