Good art, story is okay. However, some of the plot twists were pretty stupid.
The CCG's origins, The One Eyed-King plotline, and the Rize wanking.

Someone recommended me the author other manga, Choujin X.
Do I lose anything by reading that and ignoring Tokyo Ghoul?
I did read the first part, but dropped it after a couple of arcs in RE.

It was a lot of fun reading it with /a/ while it was publishing. Ishida stopped giving a shit part of the way through re. Choujin x is much better in pretty much every way

I never got around to actually reading it and I just started and finished it recently and I have no idea what the fuck was going on in the latter half of :re, it felt like like someone was trying to inject a bunch of literally whos and asspull revivals into my neurons.
