I'm fine with some of them. Where characters like Kazuya or Okarun or the Zombie one fall flat in this regard is that they expect all of this praise and pity for showing vulnerability, and yet other characters in the same series are punished as harshly as possible for it. There's a lot of hypocrisy there.
