Feel pretty confident we're gettin another 10 chapters this year or early next year.

Time to reread everything again.
>>
Where do you think its going next?

I think Benjamin's coup is more desperate than it seems and most of the Princes are still alive.
I think Halkenburg moved in to Tseri's body, since Benjamin involves him in Halkenburg's poisoning plot, and Halk assumes control while Tseri is in zetsu, for even more fucked up shenanigans.

I can't remember when it was posted, but some anon here suggested that a tranmuter with a "sharp" aura + basic aura manipulation such as shaping and rotating would probably be the strongest, most versatile ability you could have, and the more I think about it the more I'm inclined to agree.
In addition to being an incredibly powerful offensive tool by letting you "cut" through other auras, it would also be great defensively. And the utility of having a sharp aura would be great, since knives and other vaguely sharp implements like needles or drill bits are quite useful to have around.
>>
Hunter x hunter is over lmao
>>
>>282308816
Rotating it would be manipulation which transmuters are shit at. Also you couldn't cover your body in it directly making it not great defensively.
>>
>>282308816
definitely compensates some for the maybe-exaggerated disparity in power between an enhancer and transmuter
focusing all your power into an edge or point
but it lacks some ranged flexibility and broader non-combat soft utility compared to bungee gum
>>
Killua is an exceptional talent, but you'd think elemental transmuters would be more common.

I can see lots of nen users probably try to wield flames with varying degrees of mostly failure.
But other elements as well.
>>
>>282309058
All the dangerous ones would kill you (Killua is immune to electricty) or be so limited in use that it's a waste.
You're almost always better off being a manipulator who can control the element anyway because then you don't have to deal with your crappy emission as a transmuter and can control your element far better at range because you can actually manipulate it with a degree of skill.
>>
>>282309058
>>282309169
The idea of some guy trying to develop a nen ability but it just kills him the instant he tries to use it is really funny
>>
>>282309058
If you could reach like a Avatar level of control, you could be very broken.

Sucking out or manipulating the water in a person's body/blood.
Knocking the wind out of them.
>>
>>282309497
might be more manipulation like Morel's smoke
>>
Hmm, I just had a thought. What if instead of Bono, Nobu, Phinks, or Feitan, one the first Spider to die is Shizuku? We don’t know where she is, she might be sniffing out treasure. It would be revenge for Lynch in a woman-to-woman sense. Course, I would hope Shizuku gets to do something this arc, so I kinda doubt it.
>>
>>282308479
Hot
>>
>>282309919
She's working directly with Chrollo, probably as bait or as some accessory function to Bono as bait.

I doubt Chrollo would sloppily let her die without extracting a pound of flesh from Hisoka, considering he has Batman preptime.
>>
>Illumi: *Dies*
>His Post Mortem Nen 'Botnet': "Bonjour."
The idea being that as a Condition/Vow if Illumis body ever dies then his Needle People will all form an Aura Botnet hosting his mind. Part of this would be forcing an Initiation onto his Needle People, giving him more Aura from them that he can then use to spread himself.
>>
>>282310264
He's too prideful and pragmatic to anticipate dying or put himself at that risk.

Bungee heart was a moonshot.
>>
>>282310264
wouldnt Illumi using his ability on you already inherently be an nen initiation?

Elements like fire and electricity would be really hard to make a hatsu for because you need to be intimately familiar with what you're transmuting.
Killua can only transmute electricity because he was tortured as a child, which is a "privilege" most nen users don't have.
>>
>>282311549
>I'm incapable of anticipation and can't possibly imagine a situation where a guy who can counter nen beasts under the right conditions could be a threat to more important princes in the future.
>>
>>282311421
I was actually reading a fun political adventure manga, not a crap yugioh knockoff.
>>
>>282312854
Genthru must have gone through some rough shit, given that he makes his aura explode.
Also, the degree of familiarity neccessary to transmute means that Morel has a very, very serious smoking problem and has had it for a lot longer than he has been a nen user.
>>
>>282313409
>Genthru's hatsu is called "Little Flower"
>the nuke that killed Meruem was the "Miniature Rose"
Probably not a coincidence.

I hope this batch focuses on the princes and Kurapika instead of the Phantom Troupe milling around aimlessly, mafia wank, or Tserri's pointless friends. There's only so much you can add to an arc before it stops being intricate and just feels bloated. Especially when nobody ever accomplishes anything. This arc being an orgy of stalemates for almost ten years is just not satisfying.
>>282313152
I wouldn't mind shit like that if it didn't take multiple chapters in the single volume we have no guarantee of even seeing yearly. So far Morena has not justified the attention the plot has given her and the Yugioh game didn't flesh her out at all. She wants humanity dead because some humans do bad things. Wow that's so new and interesting I've never seen that before. Certainly not in this series or Yu Yu Hakusho. Peak writing.

Forgive me brother for i am about to sin, next time the manga returns i'll just watch the recent anime for the first time and the dub at that since i plan to do so while working.

Can't afford all that time to focus rereading the manga everytime Togashi needs extra cash every couple of years.

I really wanted to see the dark continent.
>>
>>282315990
Probably cope, but i don't think he has ever actually intended you to see it.

I think it's supposed to end looking out at the horizon on an infinite hunt, after the drama immediately occurs at the gate/on the coast.

Like I think metaphysically the dark continent maybe doesn't even really exist in relation with nen and supernatural systems in the show.

Don Freecs traces the coastline.
I think the super objects they're looking for are along the coast.
I think reality literally breaks down the further beyond you go.
>>
>>282316231
that would actually be worse than not seeing it I think, a time skip that just solves all the things that they were supposed to do like in Vinland post baltic sea arc would make him receive death threats in abundance
>>
>>282316303
The threats are casually more powerful than the chimera ants in most danger classifications.
I'm not even sure it makes much sense for any team to really handle them.

I think the Dark Continent arc wil literallyl be about why the world is structured in such a strange way.
It seems like a deliberate metaphysical prison or safezone for humans.

The supernatural systems reward the agency of hunters.
Hunters are people who create and find their own meaning in the world to extremes.
They grow stronger through self-discipline and the creation of their own rules and limitations.
I think that it will literally be a commentary on whatever divine mechanisms are going on.
Some divine entity or structure empowering self-agency in its creation.
>>
>>282309058
Feitan does that. The easiest way to use dangerous elements is to conjure something that protects the user. Feitans suit protects him when he creates the r miniature sun.

you said it, plus with the whole message "humans are the bigger monsters" during the ant there's no reason why they couldn't just figure out a fucked up way to pull through or simply nuke the place.
I'm interest in why the world is built that way and the whole exploration aspect of the ruins but from an in-world perspective, I hope it's not a meta commentary along the lines of "the world is like this because we limit it with our minds bro" shit, I just want a good adventure story
>>
>>282316539
Because she reminds them of Sensui/Mukuro and because she is good female representation. Morena is Togashi’s first major female antagonist in the series. She’s in the same tier of Chrollo, Nasubi, Tserrienich, etc, in terms of importance.
>>
>>282316539
She and her band of idiosyncratic psychopaths are amusing.
It's a weird contrast with the deeply violent and nihilistic philosophy.
And has potential to fuckup the succession plotline.

I think theres something there about why these deep nen psychopaths haven't already destroyed the world.
That nen has some deep risks and costs in exchange for momentary violent power.

I think she's a specific foil for Tseri, and they'll be eaten by their sadism through nen karma.
>>
>>282308816
I don't think you'd be able to use that aura without cutting yourself.
Killuas electricity only works because he has a resistance to it because of his upbringing.
Transmuters have pretty bad emission affinity so if you try making it that only the aura you emit away from your body is sharp it will be either weak or short lived (as seen by Hisoka and Zakuro).
The best use is probably to focus it around a bodypart (this would also work as a restriction to amplify the power) or use heavy plate armor and En.
Alternatively I could see it being usable with Gyo/Ko but that one makes the user more vulnerable so you wouldn't have a cut bubble around you.
>>
>>282309497
Zakuro uses blood, but only his own.
Making a vampire skill by biting someone and absorbing their blood is probably pretty easy to do since it's a relatively difficult restriction (if you bite someone in the neck you basically won the battle already).
Doing it without direct contact would probably require Chrollo level restrictions to make it work, with at least one of them being that the target has an open bleeding wound.
>>
>>282318002
Gon pretty explicitly demonstrated bladed aura without it harming himself.

It's not that their aura directly reflects back at them, it's about the transmuters intimate understanding of what property theyre transmuting it into.
>>
>>282318098
That's what I meant with Gyo/Ko though, Jajanken is basically just a restricted Ko and that's why his bladed aura works.
Gon wouldn't be able to form it as a ball around him.
>>
>>282318203
the aura is still around his hand and doesnt cut his hand
