Do people in /a/ have shit taste in characters because they're emotionally stunted and can't understand the feelings of others?
>>282312261yesalso the abject rejection of the cornerstones of basic literary skills like symbol reading, intertextuality, and analyzing things within the historical context they arose from
>>282312261Most /a/ posters are actually from /v/, so quality of character is reliant on four things>Can I masturbate to them>Can I self-insert as them (see: are they Chad Thundercock who gets all the girls instead of an obese lonely loser)>Are they a virgin (if male, this is bad, if female, this is good)>Do they have hype moments etc etcShould a character meet at least three of that requirements, /a/ (/v/) will love them.
>>282313258wow you just ruined GAR for me
>>282313295GAR was a subset of character appreciation, not the entirety of it.
>>282312261>can't understand the feelings of othersThat's me. Just got a realization the other day that I really never cared about other people.
no/a/ understand characters very wellit's because people on /a/ are emotionally developed and understand the feelings of others that /a/nons feel so much hatred towards characters
>>282312261Do you have any examples? I'm not sure I see your point.
>>282312261>are people who post on an anime board frequently retarded?
>>282312261Yes. I've been thinking of this recently that one of the main reasons emotionally stunted people like anime is because it is easier to read the expressions and emotions of the characters - they're basically always hyperemphasized or have very obvious cues that aren't seen IRL. Watching shows with live actors is actually less engaging because they seem emotionally flat by comparison (it's not objectively the case, but it seems that way when you can't read humans well).
>>282312261I have good taste thoughbeit
>website for autists has a majority of people who are diagnosed with autismNo shit?
