Chapter 324: 2v1
holy FUACK my hero is so strong
>>282334253>there's no significant difference between them>but they are having trouble in a 2v1
>>282334253???????
>>282334253>he's no-efforting them 1v2 but he's not that much stronger than them individually!
>>282334303>why is he beating them so easily>because he's Ohma
>>282334303>literally beat the shit out of both jobbers at the same time>''Ummm no Ohma acksually isn't that strong, he just somehow fights 2v1 better than 1v1 (and I offscreen the fight anyway hehe good luck figuring out my mystery box)"Is it all for humblefagging? Ohmawank is truly beyond reason
>>282334253Welcome to "Show, Don't Tell"In tonight's episode, we will demonstrate the opposite
>>282334253Is this Ren 1v5 logic
>>282334253>there's no significant difference between themHELLO?
>>282334296>>282334253He got training from the Wolves.
>4 Ohma's in one chapter
Stop.Stop making new Kengan threads.Really.Stop it.
>>282334253>wins easily in a 1v2>yeah but I doubt he could win easily if they fought 1v1Why does Sandro go the clunkiest way of explaining everything that doens't need explaining
>>282334342Damn, I shudder at how DEMONIC and VILE Luohan will be after he came back from being 2 shot by Shen into a wheelchair
>>282334342>No wonder the connector chose him as his vessel.Wait, didn’t he choose Ryuki?
>WOW OHMA BEATS 2 PEOPLE WHEN HE ACTUALLY SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO BEAT ONE>HE IS TRULY UNFATHOMABLEI "HATE" IT
I think something is getting lost in translation here.I think what Japanese GPT is trying to communicate is that the Consecuters have the same physical strength as Ohma, but his "techinque" is just too good for them
>>282334412Sandro this is the 97th time you've though pointing out the jobberflags makes it better. It. Fucking. Doesn't.
>>282334443this is how prison rape cases usually start
Thank god the chapter finally came, i was about to lose it without my weekly chance of chimping out at silly free shit and spamming unfunny memes
>>282334412Why are there four pairs of handcuffs
>>282334560legs
>>282334544you know that's right sis
>>282334560For their feet I guess but it shouldn't be the same size and it should be shackles I think.
>>282334412Comedy mangaka.
>>282334510I feel like this will be a useful bubble going forward.
>>282334560Cuffing their ankles too maybe?
>>282334610me looking at the entirety of baki
>kengan omega
>>282334412jobbers have finally "Arrived"
>>282334649Consecutors aren't even fucking HANDCUFF tier?
>>282334649Ryuki?
>>282334675To be honest Im pretty sure people were flexing so hard they could bend metal in the first Kengan.
>>282334643t. KatouSeriously, what the fuck is his brain damage?
>>282334649closing the cuff around the chokeholdnot much of a chokehold then
>>282334253>there's no difference>except there is>and this proves it>but if the circumstances were different>there'd be no difference>probably>maybe things will change>if they change, they'll become different>....not that there's any difference>I can see why that's so subtle>It's so subtle, I can hardly believe my eyes>it's blatantly subtle>there's, like, no difference between themThis has to stop. What is this manga.
>>282334607>>282334412fucking lmaoJust be glad you didn't have a knife on you, man
>>282334718Why are the cuffs a problem again? Didn't they break out of them instant-/effortlessly before?
>>282334736This reads like that missile copypasta.
This is really bad
>>282334736Looks like another anon has "arrived" at schizophrenia. Thank you, Kengan Omega!
>>282334688wtf even happened here, how did the cuff break his hold so abruptly? it feels like everyone in this room got nerfed to early ashura levels
>>282334772Yeah but it'll take a second and if Ryuki sees him trying...he'll fucking PUNCH him.
>>282334772anon fucking read
>>282334180>Ponytail/man bun + scruff >Fair features with long white hair >They're both overly theatric dipshits who take themselves too seriouslyAre these two supposed to be Raiden and Jetstream Sam?
>>282334736Heh..... "you" are still too "green"
>>282334253Nikaido moment
>>282334718So what's stopping that guy from breaking the cuff when Ryuki is busy fighting the other one?
>>282334919It'll take more than a second and Ryuki will punch him!
>>282334919HE'LL PUNCH HIM
>>282334342>even Shen-memories Luohan is weaker than OmarJesus FUCKING christ we will never get a threatening villain
>>282334772I swear, half of Sandro's writting issues are just you people not reading. Read nigga! Read!
Start reading or I'll punch you
Has Ryuuki arrived?
>>282334919Nigga thats not the point. He just bought at least one second to fight 1v1. It will take him a second and thats already a lot of time, thats why the jobber n2 is reassessing the situation or he might get KOed before jobber n1 gets out of the cuffs
>>282334855Now that you mention it...
Does this mean Koga is consecutor tier?
>>282334253The only explanation I could think of is that those two weren't good at coordination, but Sandro already established they're stronger fighting together so it doesn't make sense unless he forgot
>>282335089Koga is actually stronger than Ryuki so he's two consecutortier
>these guys are such jobbers they don't even get a real fight against Ohma>UHM BUT ACKTHUALLY they are really strong >Ohma just somehow can beat them easily but they are totally on a similar level>anyway, here comes what we all waited for: RYUKI vs notJobbers>Can Ryuki beat these fearsome enemies and prove he has a chance against the Connector?>lmao get handcuffed 1on1 faggot lets go>You see Ryuki is now the tacticool fighter, he is the thinking mans fighter, the INTJ fighterWas this really necessary? Are we going to get after this the same pointless shit for Koga?
These Consecutor guys don't seem that strong in the first place. Sandro was really banking on Shen clone hype with them.
>>282335143The explanation is "Metsudo was talking about his assumption about how the fight would go before he saw it but the translation is shit and makes it seem like he is suggesting the consecutors would stand a chance against Ohma 1v1"
>>282335089They are boat jobbers tier
wish ohma and ryuki fought actual established characters instead of jobber #1 and #2
>>282334253If you want to give Sandro the benefit of the doubt maybe Metsudo was saying he didn't believe Ohma could take them 1-on-1 easily BEFORE he saw them fighting and it's just a mistranslation
>>282335213You do NOT want that
>>282335143>backing away from 2 jobbersNiko has fallen so hard
>>282334463Ohma beat a gang of 100 people I'm early Asura.>>282334675The cultist convict Bando killed broke his handcuffs instantly.
Every fight Ryuki wins is just an indirect buff to Koga, remember that
>>282335213Pretty sure all characters introduced in Omega has been embarrassed to a degree so it won't work.>What about AsuraLol
>>282335268I miss purgatory posting bros....
>>282334718>jobber that got oneshot'd by Bando could break the cuffs like a twig>this nigga is struggling so hard his veins pop outWhy is connector genes so shit?
>>282335325Ryuki could have punched that guy 10 times by now.
>>282335272Ryuki did get to fight a few Ashura characters, while Koga is stuck with hobos or jobbernovas
>>282335325>Why is connector genes so shit?"he" has grown "weak" over the millennia."too weak to lose""he" uses "principals" to "multiply" his power and to "disperse" his opponents power
>>282335325It's time for Judgement
>>282334200What the fuck is going on here. What the hell is this perspective and proportions.
>>282335325These are superior handcuffs, folded over 1 gorillion times.
>>282335589that was fast
>>282334253He understands the principles
>>282334372
>>282334372>don't talk to me or my dollar store version ever again
>>282335589>My one weakness, PUNCHING!
>>282334718Who would win, these two or Willem?
>>282335589kek, instant
>>282334555We Jackie Chan now.
>>282335268These are my guys>>282335318I hear you
>>282335799Willem has superman syndrome and everything
>>282335589kek
>>282335589I think he is just senile now
>>282335830
>>282335845
>>282335325
>>282335830God I fucking MISS purgatory posting
>>282334736You know the funniest part? I can't explain it, but it makes sense to me. Somehow, i get what Sandro wants to say.
>>282334510>He's weaker than Ohma!>>282334605>Oh no!
>>282335939
>>282334649Oh shit not the nikostone cuffs
What a shitty birthday chapter >>282334342>And this is without the Martial Arts Memories...?Ohma had personal training from Shen and bullied like 6 or 7 dudes testing out Principles. Is Principles not the end-result of those memories?>You're stronger than LuohanIt's very cool that Sandro always feels the need to remind us that our FUCKING HERO'S will always be stronger than Luohan and that he'll never "scale" the "wall" even though out of everyone he's probably the most reasonably likely to do thatAlso how would these jobbers even be able to tell the difference, Luohan violently goofed them the moment he stopped playing around. Maybe it's that unbridled hatred everyone has for Luohan clouding their judgement>There's a good chance he's even stronger nowNice try Sandro
>>282334703Only a few specific muscle freaks. It was actually decently consistent in that regard.
>>282334675They got out of handcuffs LAST CHAPTER. That's why the handcuffs are THERE.
>>282336138It's alright, Itagaki will give you a better one
Ryuki should've been killed off to give Koga more motivation, this timewasting faggot really got a whole chapter just so we could learn the astounding facts that he's capable of employing very basic strategies and isn't as strong as someone that has always been stronger than him.His arc was also lame and gay
If he's stronger than Luohan WITH memories then doesn't that mean Ohma could easily shit down Yan's throat right now? To say nothing of FRAUDger Niko and SÖYbert.
>>282336225ohma is basically top 3 in the verse (strongest mongoloid doesn't count)1.shen2.kuroki3.ohma
>>282335143High teamwork stat but low 2v1
>>282336254>2.kuroki>3.ohmaOhma should be above Kuroki by now, the fact that Kuroki has kept pace with everyone else's progression is kind of dumb
>>282336279he's fighting boats right now, he never stopped training
>>282336279By the series' internal logic, he should have "scaled" the most from directly facing Shen
>>282335836And yet he couldn’t pick up that sword.
>>282334412I like the consecuterbros. They remind me of Tom&Jerry.
>>282336279He literally said at the end of KAT that he's far from his ideal strength and still green.
>>282336353IT WAS 20 FUCKING UNEVEN KILOS
>>282334412>We're completely, safely out of the handcuffs, no problem.>...but>>282334555>>282334718>The handcuffs we broke out of are not broken at all.>Not that we had keys to get out of them.>Ummm....>No... uh... wait....>"Broke out" is the wrong term! We.... uhhh....!!!SHIT!
>>282334821>to early ashura levelsHere's the thing, Anon. "Early Asura-level" is SUPPOSEDLY not actually all that far from modern day because most of these characters grow by inches, not miles, but those inches are what make all the difference at the top level. This isn't supposed to be a manga where POWERLEVELS just go up linearly or quadratically with time. Most of the people see saw fight even back in early Asura were remarkable individuals in the top .1% of the world. I mean look at Agito. He didn't actually change all that much. He started with Formless at the beginning of the KAT. He already knew Martial Arts™ and just had an attitude issue because he wanted to fuck on people sexy style. His innovation against Kuroki was learning to employ both strategies effectively. Come two years of development, his only change is improved mental health and better integrations of his two gameplans. I mean this with the utmost sincerity: it really has just been a matter of the smallest of margins as far as the manga is concerned. Now the problem comes in the form of a certain Wuxia Chinese sage and his ridiculous ability to just defy physics, making everyone think that this is supposed to be a manga about mystical strength gains and cultivation. People like Kaneda are said to have grown immensely because he was new to the Kengan scene and he improved dramatically by fighting higher level opponents and practicing his foresight in tougher conditions.
>>282335268Why is the Masketta Man not Koga?
Are you enjoying alternative Kengan?
>>282335836>Willem has superman syndrome and everything
>>282336353>>282336415Sandrovich had literally just seen some "Anatoly" YouTube video gym-pranks, pretending to be a janitor and holding a 34kg mop, and thought,>"Haha! I like that! I'll put that in my manga!"
>>282336399That was just him being a self-critical martial artistHis whole character was being the benchmark of fundamental martial arts perfection, Ohma put up a good enough fight to take his arm when he went into the fight half-dead. A fully healthy Ohma should've been above him let alone current Ohma who has to have made more improvements by now.
>>282334718How do you respond to this without sounding mad/punched in the face?
>>282334649This manga sucks but it reminds me when Ohma used the glass hard against the grappler who was stronger than him. The one that wins is the strong one.
>>282334180Huge shitpost potential
>>282334736Heh, "the infection" is spreading. Climb "that" wall anon.
>tiger shen is weaker than ohma>luohan is weaker than ohmawhy are the "villains" treated as underdogs doing their training arcs?
>>282336138>Is Principles not the end-result of those memories"Principles" is the shorthand for the sum total of everything Shen knows. Ohma is in the process of developing and understanding the Principles himself, but he doesn't know it all yet. He's just kind of feeling it out right now. Them saying it's without the memories is just them being impressed that he's gotten to this point without needing to experience the totality of (the martial arts part of) Shen's life like Luohan is currently doing. It's supposed to be remarkable because Ohma is doing what took Shen hundreds of years to arrive at in a matter of months by just getting a little kickstart.
>>282336539>should've>there's really no difference>I mean, if it weren't 2v1, then things would be different>well, could be different>Should be different?>I mean, Kuroki is perfect but not Ohma>But, if Ohma WAS perfect, like he should've been>then there'd be a difference>or, should be a difference...>Hang on... wait...Kengan.
>>282336539The "half-dead" shit never meant anything because 95% of it was made irrelevant by Niko magic.
>>282335325>Why is connector genes so shit?Sandro really wants to establish that Shen isn't some genetic marvel with Superman Syndrome or Removal or some other third thing. Shen and by extension his clones are all "normal" guys who are only able to pull of crazy shit thanks to Principles or the Niko styleBut both these Martial Arts are insane and allow the user to pull off Superman Syndrome Removal level shit like tanking punches just cuz and even coming with it's own bargain bin Removal in the form of Possessing Spirit, so it doesn't really matter that Shen doesn't have any of that sweet anomaly genetics because he operates like he does and so does Ohma
Did "we" need three "threads?"
>>282336660Kuroki even remarks during the fight that his punches don't have any weight behind them because he's running on nothing
>>282336583I'd remove the cuffs in a half-move.
>>282336641Sandrovich's game hosting commentary has always been>Whoa! I can't see what's happening! That's so exciting!>WHOA! Did you see that!?!?
>>282336583
>>282336279>the fact that Kuroki has kept pace with everyoneDo we ever know that he has? There is literally nothing saying, aside from fanbase wank, that Kuroki is actually on par or better than Ohma, Agito, Tiger Niko (yes, laughable, I know), and the like. I'm being so serious when I say that the fact that we haven't seen him actually fight anyone seriously means that his comparability to the rest of the cast is very suspect at this point. I know it's because Sandro just wants to put him on a pedestal and can't live up to the idea of Kuroki having improved further, but it also feels incredibly distasteful and like a disservice to who Kuroki is as a character in Asura to just assume he automatically outstrips everyone else just because he was the biggest dick in the room before.
>>282336641Me and my bro watching vanilla porn
>>282336487I haven't read it in a while but I remember the muscle sister being hot
>>282336487Unironically yeah, somehow it's far more violent than Omega.
>>282336770I am probably getting brain cancer by reading so much Sandro every week. I know how the Riku fight is gonna end weeks before it happens.I am "there".
>>282336722That fight should've been different, since there wasn't any difference. It doesn't make sense. Maybe if things were different, the outcome would've changed. By a razor-thing margin.Karla doesn't see a difference, at least.
>>282334759Is this the end???? This could be the worst chapter in the series.
>>282336648>Them saying it's without the memories is just them being impressed that he's gotten to this point without needing to experience the totality of (the martial arts part of) Shen's life like Luohan is currently doing.IMO it shouldn't be that impressive when you're being taught by the guy who knows his shit AND your own Martial Arts style shares similarities but I guess anyone would be impressed by this seeing how Shen never teaches anyone Principles despite him supposedly being desperate for a playmate so there's no reference for what Ohma is doing>>282335172Sandro realized he's been making Ryuki look like a third-rate punk every time he fights someone so he's gotta give Ryuki some wank
>>282336731
>>282336641
>>282336778>There is literally nothing saying, aside from fanbase wank, that Kuroki is actually on par or better than Ohma, Agito, Tiger Nik-Let's not go too far.
>>282336987
Early Ohma>Angry personality!>Selfish!>"I can't remember my past! FUCK YOU!">Weak but fearedDeath Ohma>Kind personality>Selfish, but accepting his fate>"This is my last chance to be me. Thanks, guys.">Strong but lovedNow Ohma>He's Shen.>Entirely complacent>"I remember everything. But other people had it worse, so I'll just watch.">Godlike but unremarkable
>>282334253…Huh?
>>282336745
>>282334412wait, jobbers has evolved into a legitimate enough term?
>>282334342>"you're probably stronger than Luohan">Luohan wasn't sweating or huffing>light taps had them bleeding >all while talking shitThat DEVIL Luohan gave the consecutors brain damage, how dare he do that to his own brothers!
>>282337452I miss Ohma’s grit
>>282336784
>>282334736"welcome" to the trvke
>>282337257Hey now, don't forget that our first actual fight-related content with Tiger Niko in Omega was him cratering Muteba into a wall without getting a scratch on himself. If you took me back to Asura and pitted Kuroki and Muteba against one another, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to say that Kuroki would win, but not without a scratch on him. That's the thing about Asura. All of the characters, Kuroki included, had to work for their wins because they were all freaks at the top of their game. Kuroki didn't even get away from RIHITO unscathed even if the fight was entirely one-sided otherwise. Tiger Niko hasn't gotten any weaker, it's just that he turned into a pussy with no goals of his own who suffered through a really embarrassing fight against Setsuna (who is himself a genius prodigy who has only had time to improve since Asura). In the end, it's all relative. Omega's writing clearly took a nosedive fairly early on in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn't change that Niko was portrayed as being real as fuck at first. For Kuroki to replicate what Niko did to Muteba, he'd have had to grown considerably and Muteba would have had to plateau even though he's been actively working and fighting. There's really no way Sandro can depict Kuroki in a respectful way anymore while staying true to the character because Omega itself is not respectful to the legacy of what Kengan once was.
>>282334759What the fuck is that Oton?
>>282334303That guy on the bottom right panel looking really feminine right there.
>>282337581Always have been
When did Ohma learn how to teleport?
>>282336975Shen really only gave him a couple tips on adjusting his form, and Ohma just started to figure it out from there. That, and he saw what Shen did to a bunch of people at the warehouse event and was able to extrapolate on it. That's what "scaling the wall" really is in essence. You see what someone way stronger than you is doing so differently and start to apply those ideas to your own style or adjust your way of fighting to see a new perspective. The fact that Ohma has gotten so much better in just a few months despite being one of the strongest people on the planet for years already is supposed to speak volumes about his potential and Shen's own capability, but it falls flat because Ohma has become a black hole of a person who took away from the initial premise of Omega that had people interested.
>>282337534>Jolly Green GiantShe's her sister.
>>282337581Probably. Well, they're pretty intense. Not that there's much difference. It doesn't make sense.
>>282337581Almost certain it's the translators not giving a shit anymore, even SiR uses Jobbers like a regular every-day term
>>282334180If the entire world is controlled by the same group why there was any war to begin with?
>>282338239Ask the same question in real life, except instead of fighting autism it's run by greed.
>>282338239Kengan Association is based in Japan and it's influence on the wider world only really extends to foreigners taking bets on fights and stocks and trades being effected by Corpo dogfightingThe Worm downsized so considerably that Yan is scratching his head trying to figure out the logistics of them fighting a conglomerate of different Corpo's with every fighter at their disposal. But the Worm also has men in parts of the world where it's convenient for the plot
Going through Asura again I really miss this business angle, it seems like the business people and their schemes are totally irrelevant now which is a huge shame because this I feel really helped bring the world together. Just as many people who would want to kill the Connector would work just as hard to hire him.
>>282338496>People used to like when I invested effort into reason and motivation? When I established clear goals?>Great!>They want me to STILL do that?>No way. Too much effort.t. Sandy
>>282337585There wasn't even an "probably" about it. Scarface is certain that current Ohma is stronger than Luohan from MAYBE a couple weeks ago despite how effortlessly he thrashed them.
>>282335589please add names and monikers of characters, i almost forgot who's who mid-panel
Why does it feel like Ohma's chapters are all the same?
>>282336487that spinal stomp was kinda gnarly
>>282337673Little did we realize back in Ashura, but Kuroki's actual speciality is that he always scales so that he is just about above his opponent
>>282338221how did you do this?
>>282338496There should have been a faction of Kengan suits that don't give a fuck about Ohma and Ryuki and were against fighting Shen and the Worm.
>>282338362It seems that even the dude that sells you fish is part of the Wu clan somehow.
>>282338908I used "that"
>>282338792Because they are>Ohma shows up with the dispassionate expression on his face>He fights one or two guys>He effortlessly beats them or sweats a bit but never looks too bad unless it's Joji>Gets the compliment regarding just how strong he is>Fight ends anti-climatically Rinse and Repeat
Why doesn't Ryuki simply summon his skeleton to make it a 2v2
>>282337673Kuroki vs Muteba This honestly depends on which round they would have fought in.Muteba probably has the worst compatibility with Kuroki since he's also used to fighting on battle fields. If they fought round one, it would be even more embarrassing for Muteba than his Niko defeat
>>282338792There isn't really any difference between them.It doesn't make sense.
>>282336487I actually feel the impact when looking at those pages. Like, I dunno. Seeing fights in "STAR: Strike it Rich!" makes me think, "ow, how come the referee isn't stopping the match? That looked like it hurt!"
>>282339341if kuroki fought muteba we'd get a information lore drop about the more esoteric parts of karate, like how to protect your balls by pulling them into your stomach or that martial artists have secret ways of protecting yourself from eye pokes
man, this is actual filler. i can't believe i'm saying this, but the real champion tournamet was more exciting than thiseverything after that shitty mini tourney has been a giant jumbled mess. nothing and everything is happening at the same timeshen is here and then he is there, then someone says "long time no see, HUH"ohma is wanked to hell in some boring filler fightkoga and ryuki don't even exist anymore it's slice of life but it isn't, there is nothing interesting happening and all the fights have zero stakesi assume he's trying to build up the island match but all of it seems like it's building up towards just more and more niko and ohma wankthe fact that this tourney is seemingly for... saving ohma and ryuki? just makes me give less of a shit about it, when we all know they aren't going to fucking die at this point (at least ohma, lol)no, i don't care about the real nicolas being aliveno, i don't care about haruo finally shedding kilos so he can job for ohma later ontiger niko needs to finally fucking do something. he's been built up since the start of ashura, sandro absoutely NEEDS to make something out of him. it's more important than wulong being freaking epic
>>282339663After Lihito every fight Kuroki had was some variation of "I'm familiar with this fighting style" so Kuroki would have an answer for everything trick Muteba would try to pull. Muteba is eating shit desperately trying to gouge Kuroki's eyes out
>>282336778This initial feat should still put him far above Ohma and the Brothers who are handcuff-tier. He also made the connector bleed.
>>282339928Early Ashura is a completely different series up until maybe Okubo vs Agito. You could almost disregard everything about it, nothing is relevant from that periodOhma's ancestor? Doesn't matterKazuo and the prostitute? YepMuch more gore and injuries, completely different atmosphere and vibe
>>282334253I'm going to assume that translator-kun fucked up here and that the "Regrets" title for that other chapter was also a fuckup, for the sake of my "sanity"
>>282339999I miss Ohma’s inner world dream training. In general it feels like we know much less about what characters are thinking, or more likely they just aren’t thinking at all.
>>282339772>"I'm familiar with this fighting style"Every single Fucking time (almost)>"Nice Techniques you got there">"Too bad... I was already stronger than your master"A third round match might be interesting since Muteba gets better in matches as the KAT goes on
>>282340040I don't. I know Kengan is heavily inspired by Itagaki's works but it went into pure ripoff territory a few times
>>282339928Doing damage to a stationary wall with his bare hands doesn't really translate to being a better fighter. Julius could do something similar and I wouldn't say that necessary makes him a better fighter. Waka's first fight-relevant moment was also environmental destruction. It was just a general hype-up moment.
>>282340073It was supposed to be a testament to Kuroki being so experienced and well-traveled, but it comes off pretty weird when his opponents are all using really esoteric styles. Knowing Ohma's Niko personally was a bit much. It'd have been more palatable if a young Kuroki had fought and lost to an aging Mukaku or something to that effect instead. Knowing Genzan I can forgive, but he didn't really need to be connected to Rei. He had a few rounds to get familiar with his style, so knowing his dad was unnecessary.
>>282334296They are getting in each other's way but the wholesome chungus traits they inherited from Shen makes them too polite to mention it.
>>282338496While I don't want to pretend that the art, fight choreography and general writing quality hasn't nosedived, I still believe that Kazzy being the main character of Ashura was the secret sauce that really made that manga work in a way that Omega doesn't.
>>282340073>Every single Fucking time (almost)>Fights Setsuna>"I was literally friends with your Master you fat fuck">Fights Rei>"I knew your Dad faggot">Fights Ohma>"My master and your Master's Master were friends and swapped techniques, your style is literally built off some of the foundations of my style please kill yourself"Kuroki could have fought Nikaido with his secret techniques and would still be familiar with all of them because he fought Nikaido's Dad or something
>>282340399He only couldn't say it about Agito because half of Agito's kit is shit he makes up on the spot and the rest of his Martial Arts is a pastiche of stuff that just works.
>>282340317>>282340399It kind of makes sense though. All of the Assassins we see through out the story are the most elite assassins in the whole of east-Asia, so it's understandable that they would have been given contracts against each other.
>>282340601Genzan and Niko weren't assassins though. The only one he knew through work was Rei's dad.Facing Genzan's and Niko's students was pure coincidence as well, but that means more than half of his matches were just weird coincidences.Honestly, the assassin part of Kuroki's character never really felt very fleshed out by the time he actually fought.
>>282340480Sandro would have wrote Kuroki knowing how Formless works because he too survived a Gu-Ritual but he wouldn't say "survive" and instead say "trained" because that's cooler and Formless is whatever Sandro says it is>>282340601But Mukaku wasn't an assassin, he was just a guy trying to unite The Inside because he's petty. Him being friends with Kuroki's master was just a way to explain Kuroki knowing the Niko style because beforehand it's been framed as the Mystery Nigga Martial art that only 3 other guys in the Tournament are aware of and one of them thought it was dead It's like Himuro knowing what the Gaoh Style looks like even though we learn later on that only Mukaku was using it and he dropped it for the Niko Style, plus Himuro wouldn't even be alive to have seen Mukaku in action at the time
What can salvage this series at this point? What are the chances the island tournament will be good?
>>282340848Nothing. None.
The "hour" has "come", and so shall "us".It's "time" for "we" to seek "pleasurable temptations" with Alisa's "lifegivers".
>>282340848That's not really a question worth asking at this point
>>282340848You can't salvage it because everything remotely interesting Omega had going on was wasted or poisoned by the context surrounding it. Any new developments you could attempt to fix it would exist within this larger, cancerous framework. You can't escape what has already been written.
Wtf is this Manga lol
>>282340766Genzan and Mukaku were Assassins thoughThey also fought in alternative underground organizations.
>>282340848There's no saving this mess of a plot. Just ditch anything about Worm, Tiger Vessel, Shen, Kure and do KAT 2 then end the series
>>282334555not enough attention has been put towards how ass these handcuffs look

>>282334372I'm just picturing Ryuki coming in while a laugh track plays like he's Kramer
>>282341308Genzan wasn't an assassin. He was a martial artist who took part in the matches in the Death Fight organization alongside Setsuna. He was mostly just a martial artist for the sake of it. He enjoyed developing his art and having a student to teach.Mukaku wasn't primarily an assassin. He did a bunch of shit during his life, but his big thing was his crusade to unify the Inside. Kuroki's master met him in the capacity of two martial arts masters who wanted to swap notes. Note that I said Niko though, because Kuroki didn't meet Mukaku. He was only familiar with the Niko Style through his master's teachings and notes and his meeting with Niko. Niko did some mercenary work, but not the kind that would bring him and Kuroki into contact since we know how they met.

>>282341603Well Akoya nearly killed him so he's probably doing alright
>>282341603And at the start of Omega he was in hospital.

>>282338496Nogi's rule changes legit killed the fun of kengan matches
>>282340399>Fights Lihito>"I have fingers too"
>>282342357Nogi's change to how Kengan Matches work relies heavily on trusting that Kazzy won't pick favorites. Having another guy pick your fighter for you would and should cause people to get pissed off>"Oh wow, the other guy got Hatsumi "I was going to be Fang" Sen meanwhile I got fucking "I'm going to die if I don't gobble a large assortment of pills each day" Kaneda"Realistically no one should be happy with this change unless you were friends with Kazzy who demonstrated favoritism by gifting Ohma to his drunkard friend and giving his opponent R1 jobber Sumo guyNew guy showed up and took away your autonomy for UFC matches and now you're more likely to lose a bet because the fighters aren't going all out anymore
>>282342745>>282342745The Kengan Association was, in essence, a gambling ring for finances disputes through gladiator battles. The draw to it was that each CEO could bring their own "pieces". It's like if horse trainers don't get to bring their own fucking horses to races now. Through this blatant "trust me bro" bit the entire Kengan Association is now entirely null and void and has no reason to be in use by anyone for anything.
>>282342357>>282342745>>282342985No wonder Purgatory and the other underground orgs have more fans now. Nogi and Kazzy ruined everything.

What’s the Japanese word for jobber and does it have any subtleties that are lost in translation?
Reminder that Tiger Niko backed away from these two dweebs who got no-diffed by Ohma and will get low-diffed by Ryuki.
>>282343047Purgatory was just someones side project, Goat wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes other than him wanting in on the Kengan Association and being told to fuck offIt's not surprising a bunch of people who already don't like Nogi's retarded decisions looked at the guy he doesn't like and thought "maybe this might be different"I am being reminded of that time when Akoya was about to fight Nicolas and a Kengan viewer told a Purg fag that none of them could come to cheer on Akoya because he's a bad man. This is despite everyone being cool with the death matches prior to Nogi's regime change, if anything they should have cheered on Akoya being keep that old Kengan flair alive by attempting to cripple everyone he fights
>>282343434Them not being a fan of Akoya makes sense since Akoya is basically a terminator when he's not fightingThere's probably people on the Kengan side that got hunted down because Akoya deemed them evil
>>282343608>There's probably people on the Kengan side that got hunted down because Akoya deemed them evilThis depends on whether or not they'd know this.
>>282339341>it would be even more embarrassing for Muteba than his Niko defeatI honestly really doubt this because pretty much all of the fighters were given more respect than that. Muteba was shown to actually be quite competent and I doubt Kuroki would have just tossed his ass like Niko did. There isn't a single opponent Kuroki came away from completely uninjured in the KAT, and I feel Muteba would be no exception. With the way Muteba fights, Kuroki probably wouldn't be as injured as he was by, say, Setsuna, but he'd probably take a couple hits at least.
>>282343656I'd venture a guess to say they wouldn't. Akoya's vigilante side gig seems to be largely unknown to the wider Kengan Association.
you fucking autists, any KAT fighter that passed round 1 would give anyone else that passed round 1 a solid fight
>anyDo you really think Cosmo could do anything to Julius?
>>282344384Sando does

Shouldn't Waka be a literal giant lump of meat by now since Superman Syndrome's muscles will never stop growing and Waka has been training rigorously for years?
>>282336487No. The writing and choreography are just as shit, and the tons of visual effects won’t change a Fairy Tail-tier garbage fight.

>>282348031>I was never contesting how dogshit this manga was.I wasn't saying you were.My point is that anybody can immediately understand that Kengan Omega is of poor quality. All of the people being critical aren't being irrational.

>>282334736Is Sandro trying to convince us they're strong and Ohma level or something? I genuinely can not tell. Metsudo is treated like he's always right. He's a bigger writers pet than even Raian so what's the big idea?
>>282334253We've reached the point where "Julius's muscles are just like samurai armour!" would be an all-around upgrade from what is actually being said in the manga.
>>282346839That just makes you retarded for believing in false equivalences. Hate something for the actual reasons it's hateable instead of making up phantom reasons in your head. You're just an ignorant dullard if you lack the mental capacity to parse a work for what it does well or poorly. >>282348322It's Kuroki's character design and Martial Art. He dresses in a Gi when he fights and his Martial art is a form of Karate. His personality doesn't lend well too it either since he doesn't come across like the type to kill people for money, especially when we see other Assassins and Mercenaries as a frame of reference for what counts. He should be some obscure super esoteric teacher, not some guy who kills people for a paycheck

An anon pointed this out in a previous thread, but did Poseidon losing to Kojiro in Shuumatsu no Valkyrie inspire the doom of the sea-related fighters in Majo Taisen (Mary Read) and Tenkaichi (William Adams)?
>>282349177I don't know about Majo Taisen but William Adams is a white man fighting a Japanese man in a Manga so he was always gonna die, just that no one expected it to be a such a hack job in writing
>>282348953Reminder that if he didn't just unceremoniously kill off Tom and Jerry they could have served this role while being established Worm combatants that people actually gave a shit about. Handing one to Mukaku and having the other kill himself after getting beat up by Rei was such a waste.

>>282340848A three-step process1. A complete reset2. >>282344984I liked the hairstyle of early Kuroki more, it became a bit too bushy and uniform for me.
>>282350329I'd ironically have more respect for him if Sandro relied on his own hands instead of other people who themselves are outsourcing their work to their assistants' GPUs.Sandro is also horrifically lucky that the editor doesn't seem to give two shits about what he does.
>>282335042>>282334956But if Ryuki is strong enough to KO one of them while the other is preoccupied, why didn't he just do it beforehand instead of bothering with the cuffs? Logically speaking Jobber 2 would rush him and keep him occupied, Jobber 1 would get out of the cuffs and it's square 0 all over again.
>>282350596>why didn't he just do it beforehand instead of bothering with the cuffs?Because Sandro and the editor of this "manga" have ceased thinking.
>>282350596Are we also supposed to believe a single punch from Ryuki is so dangerous that the Consecutor ought to be THAT concerned about it? I can't see Koga doing that.Sandro could've just had Ryuki fight them one-on-one from the start.
>>282350425I like to think of it as Kuroki cleaning up his hair for the competition after being wasted the entire boat ride to the island.
What are some of your favorite mystery box character hype-up moments that went nowhere? It didn't matter at all and it's such a minor thing, but I love how Masaki changing up his stance was made out to be some strange thing that might be hinting at there being more going on with him, but it really was just him being comfortable doing whatever. It was just a totally empty, arbitrary thing to throw some vague intrigue to the beginning of the fight.
>>282348184>>282336353Why didn't Erioh ever go get the sword and learn principles?

What's the purpose of these chapters when they all say the same thing? It reminds me of chatbots when they're not guided and start looping
>>282350911Took me a second to find it, but what the hell did Terashi mean by this? I know it's because Sandro didn't actually have a solid idea of who and what Terashi's deal was yet, but it's really funny in hindsight that he was calling himself stronger than Nicolas when he doesn't know any martial arts, is a relatively fresh B-lister, and is only there to kill Nic when it was opportune. It's right up there with the Fa reference just turning out to be a personal homage.
>>282334342>sandro immediately going out of his way to neuter the threat of another villainDid these guys get brain damage from being slammed into the ground too many times, or is Sandro just lying to our faces again? We literally saw Luohan overwhelm these two way harder.
>>282350911Don't forget how this happened immediately after he took his earbuds out, so the assumption was that when he stopped hearing whatever was coming from them, something about him changed. There's too many of those moments to count, but I still chuckle sometimes at how Xia got multiple scenes of being wrecked by someone but then managing to crawl away while they weren't looking, and the other characters would always react with "HOLY SHIT HE'S UNFATHOMABLE! WHAT KIND OF TRICK DID HE POSSIBLY USE?!">>282351362>that he was calling himself stronger than Nicolas when he doesn't know any martial artsI think he's calling Nicolas the weakest of them, besides himself. IE that he's the weakest and Nicolas is second weakest.
>>282351678Yeah, bit of a brainfart. I thought I remembered him saying "myself included," and just didn't actually think twice about it before posting it.
I like that Nicolas being a B-tier scrub was just because he doesn't try unless he's trying to kill someone and Goat took the gamble on hoping Nicolas would put pushed into that mindset or maybe he's a Worm and hope he dies
We are now /fitlit/ Ryuki bros
>>282351928Goat's also big on entertainment value and Nicolas's flair for the dramatic and pretty boy looks make him especially popular. In addition to being willing to make that gamble, Nic is also just a really good attraction for the fans. I bet he made a killing on merch sales throughout the entire event.
>>282351604NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>282350911I'm gonna say whatever Ryuki was going to do when he was losing to Akoya. He acted like he would have been able to kill him despite being totally pinned and we got a panel of his foot cracking the ground in preparation right before he gave up on it. We know that the Gaoh Style has a bunch of killing moves, but I still have no clue what he was going to pull out there.
>>282351962>"The boy might not put any elbow grease in it unless he feels like trying to kill you or the boy might just be a Worm and I gotta get him killed by those Kengan boys somehow but either way he sells merch like no other! Lolong might be the King of Purgatory but Nicolas is the King of merchandising!"And then Goat would try to get you to buy a t-shirt, bobble head and a hat
>>282334253>>282334303What the fuck is this trying to imply? Is Metsudo retarded? What? His estimation? When has that ever mattered, is he trying to imply that one consecutor ~ Ohma? That clearly isn't the case right? This is just a glorified version of the people who think Ivan vs Waka would be an even fight worth watching
>>282351335The bit from last week where the narration randomly monologued about who the Consecutors were again when we'd only just met them like ten chapters prior was one of the most jarringly AI-like bits of writing we've gotten. >>282351987I assume it was just the adamantine hardened finger stab he used on Naidan/Adam, but a toe to the back of the neck instead.
>>282352057The counter to being too strong to win is to be so strong that your strength itself becomes unknowable.
>>282352069>but a toe to the back of the neck insteadI don't even know how he could physically pull that off with how little leverage he could have gotten from that position. Actually, forget leverage, I can't even see him reaching unless Akoya somehow let him slip down between his legs.
>>282352057I assumed he meant spec-wise they're all similar (since they're all essentially clones of the same person), so Ohma isn't noticeably stronger or faster than either of them. But they're all whiffing their hits while he's connecting with his.At least, that's the only line of logic that makes sense to me.
>>282352335I don't disagree, it's just my only guess what Sandro was intending there in that context with his leg sweeping up like that + the veins bulging on the foot looking like how his thumb looked when shanking Naidan.
>>282334412Self-aware, genre-savvy writing is the mark of an insufferable writer, especially when employed as a technique as often as Sandro does it.
>>282351331I liked the part where Kazzy had no idea what Lolong's style was when deciding who to go against Fei only for Gaolang to drop his full life story a little later
>>282334200>he’s just standing there>and WINNING
>>282334253Pffft, Sandro has “scaled” to Dr. McNinja logic. I kneel.
>>282353241What exactly was Fei's plan if they sent out Ohma, the one guy he was explicitly ordered to not take out? Just throw the match? It was a 50-50 shot on whether Ohma or Waka went to face him after all.
>>282334544This but unironically. Keng/a/n has become like a man period for me, but purely psychological and on a faster cycle. Yes, it means pain and having to vent some unpleasant things, but in the long term it makes my life more peaceful because I can appreciate every day more without the threat of Sandrobitchisms looming over my head.
>>282347877We even have “the character that the writer wants you to give a shit about literally being cloned over and over again as allies of varying overpowered status” as a plot point, kek.
>>282350911I like how Genzen Taira did the classic “I killed your master, come fight me or no balls” shtick on Ohma only to be offed in Setsuna’s emergent backstory before he could. It’s such an early case of Sandro protagonist centred morality because by all indications he had no regrets for living only for violence but you’re supposed to street Kuroki fighting Kiryu as “vengeance” because he was Kuroki’s friend and now Kuroki is mad, even though Kuroki himself later admits his heart wasn’t really in it because the man wouldn’t have wanted his successor offed. Really the man was everything everyone assumed Mukaku to be other than being weak enough to need Ohma’s Niko weakened before finishing him off. We never even found out why he killed him lmao
>>282351950Ryuki used to look cuter
>>282350916He knew about the knife hex, and trusted nobody except his powerful descendant Raian to overcome it.
>>282353363Probably to style on Ohma before forfeiting, telling Tiger Niko smugly that he didn't kill him as ordered. Not that it would have mattered, as Fei would not have had any chance against GODma. Ohma would have started by styling all over Fei's kickboxing, and after Fei switched to the Niko style, Ohma would have gone>I've never seen these techniques before! My Niko Style: Adamantine Kata is barely holding on!Before "getting the timing right" and KOing Fei in a single hit, after which Fei would explode due to 100% Divine Demon and the ring doctor would rule it as a forfeit through suicide.
>>282336487It is even worse, somehow.
>>282353661>We never even found out why he killed him lmao>"Master, this Niko guy punched my dick in">"Where is he?!"Probably something like that, Setsuna being a little shit and getting Genzan to kill off an obstacle in his quest for boy love suicide I guess you could say the reason we haven't been told yet though is because it doesn't matter anymore. Revenge is gay and how is Ohma trying to avenge his Master? By trying to get a runback on the guy who stole his original runback from him? Weak, it really wouldn't satisfy anything at that point since Setsuna wasn't the original objective anyway
>>282353842Okay but Fei probably wouldn't have used his Niko style because that's just a giant red flag and he didn't really use it until Tiger Niko basically told him he could. And I don't think he stands a chance with just kick boxing and tai chi and whatever.>>282353661>>282353901Wasn't Genzan hired by someone to go fight Ohma's Niko...? Although I'm not really sure why or who or what. Was he even hired to kill Niko or just like beat him up?
>>282353901>>282354081It would have been more fun for it to be Kiryu being a little shit and going to daddy to say someone beat him up and give Genzan some more nuance by making it that he went to kill the person who'd hurt his student, but no, Sandro revealed during the Ohma/Kiryu hospital sex chapter that it was just Tiger Niko hiring Genzan to do it(anticipating himself jobbing I guess lmao).I'm still a bit surprised Sandro restrained himself from involving Luohan somehow.
>>282334253This niggas retarded
>>282339928All things considered this was actually a pretty tame feat by early Ashura standards.
>>282354185>Tiger Niko got his ass beat so hard he ran to his suicidal guinea pigs Master and hired him to go kill the guy who beat himNeko Niko moment>>282354081Fei would have used his Niko style regardless of whether Tiger Niko told him too or not because Fei's got a chip on his shoulder about being the Tiger's Vessel and Ohma is considered a rival for that position. Fei did have bad blood with Long Min over that and killed him for itBut Tiger Niko wouldn't care too much because Fei is just another Setsuna, primed to be good enough to test how far the real Tiger's Vessel is before dying like the guinea pig's suppose too
>>282334253>>282334303My expectations were subverted. I thought he would elaborate on his retarded 2v1 comment in the next page but he didn't.
>>282354317I'm not sure which scenario is funnier between>Niko hired Genzan in advance, going "uhhh, yeah I want you to kill this Tokita Niko guy sometime next week here. Don't worry, if he's even alive then, he'll be totally fucked up and injured from fighting someone really strong!" and then giggling in his worm hospital bed about how he still won and "the backup plan" should be playing out any moment now as Luohan feeds himOr>Niko went in and got his ass beat, then was desperately googling "Inside assassins on a low budget" as he was carted off by a Worm med team in his final moments of consciousness
>>282353661Genzan killed Niko because Setsuna convinced him he was a bad man that needed to die and that the fight would be worth his time.>It’s such an early case of Sandro protagonist centred moralityI don't really think that's the case. Genzan being dead and Setsuna being his killer was just setup to frustrate Ohma by removing the direct object of his revenge while setting him against Setsuna. Setsuna was playing him because he wanted to die by Ohma's enraged hand. I don't think there's any world in which Genzan was ever supposed to survive past Setsuna and Ohma's backstories because him being dead and cheating Ohma out of the relief of revenge is important to getting Ohma to develop. >you’re supposed to street Kuroki fighting Kiryu as “vengeance” I never really viewed it as that to be honest. Kuroki isn't supposed to be the moral center of the story by any means. In Asura, it was accepted that sometimes people in the underworld kill each other and none of them are necessarily righteous for doing so. Kuroki having a personal beef with Setsuna didn't make any difference. Setsuna was already set up as Ohma's nemesis, and Kuroki's connection to him doesn't really matter to that end.>other than being weak enough to need Ohma’s Niko weakened before finishing him offWe don't really know how strong Genzan was at all because there are too many caveats to his winning and his death. The events were>Possessing Spirit is awakened within Ohma>Niko shows up to bend his spine and pacify him>Tiger Niko shows up to fight Niko, but Niko "kills" him>Setsuna "runs for help" and brings back Genzan>Genzan kills the injured NikoThen somewhere in the next 10 years, Setsuna kills Genzan. For all we know he was actually as strong as Kuroki, but Setsuna got the jump on him at some point.
>>282335025Not yet, he still shits! little. He'll need to continue with the fecal inspections to reach "that level"
>>282334377Reminder Scarface and Lucky-Boy are marked 6 and 7 so there are AT LEAST 5 more Ohma's on the way, likely more.
>>282334377>>282356028If the flashback panel of child consecutors is meant to be taken literally and not just the number Daro's GPU happened to settle on, there are eleven of them, possibly not including Luohan. Nightmarish.
>>282354408>inside assassins on a low budgetLmao had a nice chuckle there.
>>282334342It's trueLouhan < Ohma < Louhan in a wheelchair
>>282334253This mangs is so unbelievably bad you cannot tell me Sandro hasnt been trolling what the fuck has this shitshow devolved into????Like im fucking baffled at how terrible this series is. Its so crazy BAD. God PLEASE end this IPs suffering and swimg the axe already
>>282334342>no wonder the connector chose him as his vesselWHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUTTHAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS STRENGTHTHAT WAS BECAUSE HE HAD THE RIGHT GENETICS, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW STRONG HE IS, OHMA COULD HAVE LEFT THE INSIDE AND BECOME A SALARYMAN FOR DECADES AND HE STILL WOULD BE THE VESSEL I'M GOING FUCKING INSANE AT THIS FUCKING AI GENERATED GIBBERISH
>>282334460Yes, but Sandro forgot.
>>282356028Well yeah, we know there are a lot of failed clones. It's a story point that it's been harder to successfully clone the connector in this current phase (which draws into question how old cloning technology is since he's like 150 years old).
>>282356879You're still too "green", anon. You haven't "arrived". Otherwise, you wouldn't get upset at SandroBITCH having zero attention to detail.
>>282356879He's strong because of his genetics.
>>282336487I stopped reading like 3 chapters ago. I forgot about it one time and just dropped it as time went on.It's just boring, not even Omega boring. Only saving is that MAAM is a technically competent artist who still tries, although personally I found him to be artistically barren so far. And the writing is the standard Sandro affair in both plot and fight scenes. Biggest issue for me is that I really didn't care what happens to the characters. Same thing with Omega but I actually did care at some point, while still caring about the fate of some characters right now. But for SiR I genuinely never did especially for the main lead.
>>282342357Out of all the retarded world-building. Kengan CEOs being fine with the rule changes has to be the most unbelievable bit.>>282343047It doesn't even make sense for the KA to care about losing fans. Their reason for existance wasn't to garner an audience.

>>282334688>>282334718>Fucking HANDCUFFS
>>282356988If we're correlating strength and genetics, it still doesn't make sense.Ryuki is a Vessel candidate who is equally as viable as Ohma is in spite of his clearly inferior strength/genetics.The solution to this was provided in previous chapters: compatibility is the key factor in consideration, not strength. But the current chapter contradicts this.
What the fuck happened? 4chan died for like an hour, it seemed.

>Anons think something is askew about the translation>Never post the raws so moon readers can checkThis is happening way too often nowadays.
>>282350329>Neither SIR nor Danberu would have any kind of popularity if it weren't for MAAMAshura, not MAAM. All of Sandro's successes after Ashura was built on it.Though Danberu did stand on its own merit. It started before Ashura really hit its stride popularity-wise and its audience diverge from his other series, I'll give it that. On the other hand, SiR definitely rode on Ashura's coattail and Sandro's own popularity. It would have probably gotten axed like most female-centeric fighting manga without that initial boost.
>>282358911Thanks. Hopefully moonchads will clarify wether sandro's brain is rotting or if it's just some tl mistake
but then there were no moonchadsyou should take it to the TL thread
>>282358911There's no mistake.Super-literal caveman translations:>三社の力量に大きな差はない"The power of those 3: there's no big difference">おそらく、一対一でもやすやすとは勝てんじゃろう"Perhaps, even in a 1 on 1, he couldn't win easily"Might be a tiny bit of confusion since the ない in 勝てない gets contracted to just an ん, but there's no mistake in the translation.
>>282358911Also where did you find the raws? I don't know what magazine Omega runs in so I've never been able to find it and I feel like reading this turd in Japanese would at least make it feel like a better use of my time.
>>282362206lmao, so it's not shoddy translations. It's just Sandro not giving a fuck, as per usual.
>>282345215>If I were to tell someone to draw Waka just based a description, they would probably draw something completely on model with one of the pages.no one tell him

>>282363358Kek, the funny part is me absolutely ignoring the mistake and correcting it in my head into the right version. It seems like i became even stronger...
>>282334253>I doubt he could win easily if they fought one-on-one.More like>Even one-on-one, he shouldn't be winning so easily. That solves 90% of the anger about this chapter.
>>282363439I still don't really think it's a mistake in the translation, I think it's just a mistake in how Sandwich thought people would view this fight. You're supposed to be watching them fight and think "Wow he's not winning easily", so when you hear "He wouldn't win easily in a one on one," you're supposed to mentally add the "either". But since he's obviously stomping both of them in a boring one-sided fight, it just turns into "Well he's easily winning this, but he wouldn't easily win in a one on one somehow?"tl;dr I blame Sandwich.
>>282341802Sandro theory works. But I think they have a deeper plan. My guess is, they're hyping up Ohma and Ryuki to give them a buffer against Luohan's overflow exploit.
>>282363475
>>282363484You're right about that. I don't blame the TL, either.Sandrovich is the one screwing up literary perspective. It could be solved if>Sandrovich cared more about getting the right point across>Editor paid closer attention to "potential confusion" about the dialogue
>>282334253>I have shallow fighting experience, but still, this is amazing!vs>I have enormous fighting experience, but still, this is amazing!>I have shallow fighting experience, but it's obvious, Ohma KICKS ASS!!vs>I have enormous fighting experience, but still, Ohma SHOULD NOT kick SO MUCH ASS!!>I have shallow fighting experience, but still, this outcome obviously favors Ohma!vs>I have enormous fighting experience, but still, I can't believe how this obviously favors Ohma!Come on, Sandrovich. This isn't even the TL's fault. Even your Japanese wording >>282358911 proves terrible wording for commentary between "amateur" and "expert." You've been writing fighting commentary since 1995, wtf is wrong with you?>Too much work, don't care anymore.Obviously.
>>282363702Now i understand why one anon almost had a stroke, when someone brought up Sandro's interview, in which he said that he doesn't have much free time, because writing takes too much of his time.
>>282363583Or if he just actually showed Ohma taking some hits but it still being pretty even but then he'd look WEAKER than the villain Luohan so god forbid.
>>282334253It's obvious that Sandrovich meant>These three are PRACTICALLY IDENTICAL!>HOW can there be SO MUCH DIFFERENCE!?but he literally writes>These three are BARELY DIFFERENT!>I bet changing circumstances WON'T MATTER!It's like the first perspective is fun and novel and mysterious leaving the reader thinking "I want to see more and find out why!"But then Sandrovich poorly conveys that message, leaving the reader thinking, "uh, obviously. Why did repeat that?"And then the Ryuuki fight happens and now the comparison becomes>Ohma is better>Ryuuki is smarterand the other two identical clones just suck, despite symmetrically strong.
>>282363702I absolutely refuse to believe this nonsense about sandrobitch having any actual martial arts knowledge.

>>282365893What if he's the Phoenix/Vermillion bird?

Shen just did that thing mentally ill people sometimes like to do and picked a random person out of his inner circle and started bullying them and everyone else went along with it because to question Shen about this would result in rape or they genuinely believed it because Shen can never be wrong. The Mentally ill do this to their kids so it makes Luohan even more tragic, he's not even deciding to "play the part" because that's what Shen decided for him

Why is Strike it Rich so much better than Omega? Is it literally just because of the different artist?
>>282367204>Is it literally just because of the different artist?Yes. Daro's artwork reflects the writing of Kengan, MA'AMs artwork reflects a better version of what is actually being written in SiR

Ohma fights like he's the main antagonist. Feels like he goes out of his way to be an asshole to people, breaking them in their own fields to further nourish his growth.
>>282373567Ohma doesn't give a shit about anything, he doesn't care or take seriously that a cult is waging war against his friends and he speaks for Ryuki when Ryuki is clearly upset about what's been happeningHe has a disinterest in anything going on unless he can somehow steal another main characters thunder, like Koga's. He doesn't hate Shen despite Shen being the leader of a murderous cult that kills for his sake, in fact he seems to genuinely like the guy. He dismisses a chance to ally up with another clone to take down Shen because he thinks the other guy is worse. Knowing Ohma is meant to be the perfect clone of our main antagonist Sandro is accidentally writing Ohma as just a copy of Shen who will continue to act like him as he's been doing for over a year nowI wouldn't blame anyone for confusing Ohma for one of the bad guys, his character doesn't exactly come across as "heroic" or "main protagonist"
>>282367617>The problem with Omega is it came off the back of something really great so it stings worse. This and also the fact that Omega was genuinely pretty promising right up until chapter 50>the mysteries around Ryuki>Koga's growth both physically and character-wise culminating with him stepping up to Xia Ji (who was still a mostly unknown threat at that point)>actual stakes with Kazzy about to get fucking cartel executed by the Worm (who were also still a largely unknown threat at that point)All deflated in an instant with chapter 50
