You can argue subs vs dubs all day on /a/, but everyone understands that the true superior method of watching anime is actually learning Japanese so you don't need subs or dubs and can watch the show as originally intended.
>>282346492Why is her speech bubble translated, then?
Or just be born japanese.
>>282346492you care more about how other people watch anime than about actually watching anime
>>282346750Picture this. You cannot accurately translate anything into any language because language is about more than just swapping words, but also understanding culture, cues, ect.
>>282346492Say whatever you want but I will forever appreciate fansubs with nice tlnotes and animations for the openings and especial scenes. I miss those like you would miss your right nut
>>282347004Why not anymore? :(
>>282347004same, the paniponi notes document is a bit much though
>>282346492Sure, but I'm not learning another language just to watch cartoons.
dubs for trash isekais I don't really care aboutsubs for romance and drama where a shitty English performance can ruin the beauty of the show
After finally starting to learn nip, the biggest bullshit seems to be all the words that sound almost the same but mean completely different things, Like:kiite = listenkitte = stampkite = comeitte = sayiie = noie = housedoes it get better or worse from here on out?
>>282348773I feel like this is a pretty common issue in English, too:>to/too/two>there/their/they're>blue/blew>through/threw>right/write/rite/wright>not to mention words with the same spelling, like bat (animal) vs bat (baseball)How do we tell them apart when they sound the same? Context, mostly.
>>282349137This LOL.
>>282347919For me, it's watching Ichigo Mashimaro by LIME subs with my imouto.
