This chapter got me thinking, Yamada has known Hara for a long time now but has never wanted to hang out with her alone outside of school activities. The double date was Hara's idea. As far as we can tell, summer, fall, and winter had passed without the two of them ever meeting up.Didn't she hang out with Yamada Blanco completely unprompted? She's known her for a much shorter time. It makes it seem like Yamada is purposely keeping Hara at arms length.
