But I do appreciate that Ritsu plays an important role in the club in making things happen when they need to. She's very practical, and that's necessary for K-On to even happen. I do think Ritsu is underrated. Mio too.Tomo really doesn't have that practical quality, but she does make things happen through her wild spontaneity and boundless optimism. Without her, the rest of the girls would be bored to tears. They'd just have Osaka asking random punny questions that none of them can appreciate or Sakak-san getting bit by the same stray cat for the eleventy-millionth time. Sure there's Kagura eventually showing up to at least bring a little energy but the show would be so much worse without Tomo.

All the main six characters act as counter balances to each other and compliments to one another. Its the boring answer but I cant imagine it not being the correct one. All the main girls add something good to the group dynamic and are fun in their own way and they all have their moments. I love them all.

Her whole thing is basically just being irritated by the best girl Tomo.Sakaki-san, despite me shitting on her a minute ago for just being the girl who gets bitten by cats in 99% of her time on screen, actually has a decent bit of growth and development over the series, and her appreciation for Chiyo as somebody who is small and cute, and her willingness to defend Chiyo at all costs, make her a more interesting character than first appearance.But I'd swap out Yomi in a heartbeat, and give more screen time to Kaorin or Chihiro.Ditch Yomi, promote Chihiro in her place and give her something to do, and then do way more scenes with Kaorin lezzing out over clueless Sakaki-san instead of Sakaki-san lezzing out over those fucking stupid cats.
