Hori is atrocious at writing romance and just ignores it and comes up with a new filler plot that involves a dozen new characters, half of which have massive tits, and all of which have underdeveloped origins/personalities.

Not only does it pull a full stop to whatever is going on at the moment, but also feels incredibly cheap and tacked on. If you want sympathy BUILD IT UP over a longer period.
