Zombie... Saga... Zombieland Saga!?!?!?
>>
Wasn't this a flop? I remember there being a chapter near the end where he dumped bunch of plot twists all in one chapter via exposition. Felt like he gave up. How'd it get an anime?
>>
>>282383552
Yeah, how did this get an anime when it got axed? There's also only 18 chapters too, that seems too few to get an anime.
>>
>>282383636
17 even.
>>
I'd guess it got an anime because someone high enough in the anime industry to push for it is friendly with Katsuwo as a result of one of the earlier Katsuwo anime.

>member of U19 gets anime
It's beautiful...
>>
I hope Bocchis VA gets some work in this
>>
>>282383777
Why not make an anime of Stchil in that case? At 11 chapters that's barely less material.

Yeah I'd rather have Sutochiru anime instead
>>
No way it's a full-length anime, there's just not enough material.
>>
>>282384265
They may add a lot of original content. Short anime are so rare these days I don't see it happening. Maybe they'd reuse the Karaoke/Muchu approach with >>282384241.
>>
>>282384077
Katsuwo said it's been over 1 year since they heard this anime was happening, so that wouldn't even have started its serialization back when this anime was being considered.
>>
>>282384361
Takopi and Food Court kind of set a new trend with a half-season anime.
>>
>>282384398
>>282384361
might as well make a proper Fallout anime already.
>Roadside picnic got an anime
don't count.
>>
>>282384400
Is there any advantage of having 6 full length episodes instead of 12 half-length episodes?
>>
>>282384361
Yeah, maybe even a proper ending
>>
>>282383460
Wait, what the actual fuck? Didn't this get axed? I'm still happy, though
>>
>>282384361
Yeah they'll do filler

That makes Katsuwo's track record for anime adaptations pretty high
>Bocchi
>Colors
>Zommasu
I wouldn't be surprised if Sutochiru gets an adaptation down the road, so the only shafted one would be Kin no Tamago (as usual).
>>
>>282384764
The man must give some amazing blowjobs.
>>
>>282384764
Hopefully its not cancelled before 36 chapters
>>
>>282384077
Sutochiru is not very good whereas Zombie was good, so the choice is clear
>>
>>282383552
Presumably something else was planned and fell through so this is the backup series, since katsuwo already has a couple adaptations under his belt.

yeah, didn't even rank weekly on shoseki rankings, only four days in total

What were the sales?
>>282383788
Did this run in Jump?
>>
It's just dumb nepotsim at work and thinking just because one his series sold big they can just trick the fans of that series to buy this too.
Hopefully Bocchi fans show they aren't stupid to fall for this though.
>>
>>282385923
Daioh g is worse than Jump when it comes to axing.
>>
>>282385988
But I liked this one because it was good unlike Katsuwo's other works
>>
>>282385988
The bocchi anime flopped

>Daioh g is worse than Jump when it comes to axing.
In general Kadokawa is worse than Shueisha when it comes to axing. They more or less axe everything on two volumes, this was lucky to even last three volumes really.
The only thing they seem to care about is their light novel adaptions.
>>
>>282386090
what's funny is that Harta is their best magazine by far and it's nowhere near as axe-crazy as KDKW's other magazines
>>
>>282386090
>They more or less axe everything on two volumes
Young Ace, Dragon Age, Maoh, Cune, Flapper, Alive, B's Log Comic, Young Dragon Age aren't that extreme. Beam rarely axes at all.

>>282386126
Alchemic Girl & Berserker Boy felt like the first real axe in a while.
>>
>>282383460
I wonder if this is going to be another six-episode-long series like Food Court de, Mata Ashita, a series of 10-minute-long episode shorts, or a regular series, in which case they would have to create original material because the manga is just three volumes long. If it’s the latter, then I hope Katsuwo provided some of his unused ideas
>>
>>282383460

That's why you have to do double-tap.

Bocchi-sisters... Not like this...

I will now watch your anime.

I would prefer if they made second season of Bocchi or Colors
But I guess being short is advantage, they will adapt entire things, even ending

She will play Zombie girl
Also Pink Bocchi will play main girl

Shame, I could've done with something like Apocalypse no Toride.

>Beam rarely axes at all.
Most of its series are short. Some of those aren't a case of cancellation, but Void no 9 was according to the mangaka. Fly Free & High was obviously an axe ending. Koi no Syndrome seems like it too.

Really? I thought people didn’t like this.

I’m in the minority, I enjoyed it quite a lot, despite the cancellation ending which I haven’t seen anyone try to defend. The familiar Romero zombie world with a competent, but very optimistic cast was unique. It was all about the fun of survival. It was cool to see Katsuwo do action too. Any chance they’d fix the ending, or is the weird twist going to be a permanent fixture?
>>
Weird choice but I'm down with it, the manga was fun even if kinda scattered and axed into a rushed ending. I wonder if they had a director that just liked the concept or something.
>>
>>282391230
It does feel like whoever had the power to choose what to adapt just happened to really like this.
>>
>>282384077
That's never getting an adaption because the first chapter is about underage girls drinking beer and they can't show that in the television.
